This current book comprises state-of-the-art research results in the field of mechatronics and reliable systems engineering, gathering papers from almost all continents. This book constitutes the proceedings of the 33rd International Conference on Advanced Information Systems Engineering, CAiSE 2021, which was held online during June 28-July 2, 2021. The conference was planned to take place in Melbourne, Australia, and changed to an online format due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The papers included in these proceedings focus on intelligent information systems and deal with novel approaches to IS engineering; models, methods and techniques in IS engineering; architectures and platforms for IS engineering; and domain specific and multi-aspect in IS engineering.
