On May 14, 1948, Israel became a nation. Now, 63 years later, many nations of the world have declared that Israel must be wiped from the map. God is not surprised. He told us that all nations would turn against Israel. Are you surprised at this development? Did you ever think the United States and Great Britain, et al, would turn against Israel? The tiny nation of Israel, God's chosen people, has or soon will become the enemy of all nations. Prophecy, fulfilled, is confirmation of the authenticity of the Bible. Now it is time to turn to prophecies which detail the "final events prior to God's unleashing His righteous judgment on the enemies of Israel. Recall that after the great flood only 8 persons survived. Why was nearly all mankind wiped out during that event? God was angered with the attitudes and actions of the people. Sin was rampant. Disobedience documented the lifestyle of people who had become self centered and self righteous. The people of the world ignored the commands of God. Is history about to repeat itself? Are we approaching a time of sinful self indulgence never before equaled? Are we sliding toward Armageddon at a precipitous pace?

Of the many trouble spots in the world today, none rivals Jerusalem for ultimate significance. Zechariah prophesied that in the last days God would make Jerusalem a "cup of trembling" and a "burdensome stone" for the whole world. Today's world has its eyes on Jerusalem, believing that the next world war will break out over this city. Jerusalem is indeed a "cup of trembling" and will continue to be so in spite of false peace initiatives.

Who is the king of Babylon in Isaiah 14? The early church sometimes identified him as Nebuchadnezzar, but most also saw a deeper meaning in Isa 14:12–14, believing this section referred to Satan. Many current scholars reject both views and offer a variety of alternatives. Little argues that “shining one” (Lucifer) in Isa 14:12 is the king of Babylon. This book analyzes the mashal (proverb) genre and argues that the Isa 14 mashal must be a real person, not a symbolic, ideal, eclectic, or representative king. Scholars have presented nine historic kings as the king of Babylon. Little compiles a list of fifteen criteria from Isa 13–14, evaluates these nine kings, and demonstrates that no historic king comes close to fulfilling the fifteen criteria. Instead, Little argues that the king of Babylon is Israel’s eschatological enemy. Through the use of catchwords and temporal particles, he first demonstrates that the oracle is a unit. Then he proves that this Babylonian judgment is eschatological. All foreign languages have been translated, allowing the student of prophecy and theology to benefit from this work. Those interested in the mashal genre, Hebrew poetry, and Isaianic exegesis will also find this book stimulating.

Discusses various issues succinctly summarizing different schools of thought with their pros and cons. What are the Wars of Gog and Magog? What will cause them? Which forces will be involved? Who and what is the Messiah and the Messianic Age? Will there be a physical Resurrection of the Dead? How old is the earth? Were there humanoid-type beings before us? Jewish and non-Jewish scholarship on all issues is quoted and compared. The author then brings his own opinion and the reasons for it. Whether you are a full-time researcher in this field or just an interested layman you will find in this work information and points of interest of great value. Zephyr is not afraid to face controversy. He brings sources and argues well with passion, eloquence, and conviction. He has carried out a work of serious scholarship with nerve and passion. The writers interest and thirst for knowledge concerning his theme comes bursting through on every page. Today most of the World unjustly goes against the Jews. Anti - Semitism, hatred and racism have reached unprecedented levels. The very survival of the Jewish state of Israel is at stake. All people of good will, who believe in the Bible as the Sacred Word of the Almighty, should make a choice and stand firmly on the side of Israel. That is what God wants them to do. In turn, they will save themselves and help God to advance His Divine Plan for the World-to-Come, which would be absolutely impossible if Israel did not exist. And I will bless them that bless you, and curse him that curses you: and in you (i.e. Israel) shall all families of the earth be blessed (Genesis 12:3).

“The conflict is only ‘seemingly' beyond solution, because all historical-political problems have solutions, if there is enough courage, honesty, and steadfastness.†In Chosen?, Walter Brueggemann explores the situation in modern-day Israel that raises questions for many Christians who are easily confused when reading biblical accounts of God's saving actions with the Israelites. Are modern Israeli citizens the descendants of the Israelites in the Bible whom God called chosen? Was the promise of land to Moses permanent and irrevocable? What about others living in the promised land? How should we read the Bible in light of the modern situation? Who are the Zionists, and what do they say? In four chapters, Brueggemann addresses the main questions people have with regards to what the Bible has to say about this ongoing issue. A question-and-answer section with Walter Brueggemann, a glossary of terms, study guide, and guidelines for respectful dialogue are also included. The reader will get answers to their key questions about how to understand God's promises to the biblical people often called Israel and the conflict between Israel and Palestine today.
