Reprint of the original, first published in 1875. The publishing house Anatiposi publishes historical books as reprints. Due to their age, these books may have missing pages or inferior quality. Our aim is to preserve these books and make them available to the public so that they do not get lost.

The June • July Monthly Collection for fourth grade provides interactive summer learning activities. The included June • July calendars are filled with important events and holidays. This collection can be used to combat the summer learning loss. Student resource pages are available in color and black and white. Included in this collection: •Summer cross–curricular projects •STEM project •ELA reviews •Math reviews •Geography skills The June • July Monthly Collection for fourth grade can be used by teachers or parents to provide fun learning opportunities during the summer. Each Monthly Collection is designed to save teachers time, with grade-appropriate resources and activities that can be used alongside classroom learning, as independent practice, center activities, or homework. Each one includes ELA, Math, and Science resources in a monthly theme, engaging students with timely and interesting content. All Monthly Collections included color and black and white student pages, an answer key, and editable calendars for teachers to customize. This resource may be printed and photocopied for use in a single classroom only.

When push comes to shove, two Kentucky girls find strength in each other. Ivy June Mosely and Catherine Combs, two girls from different parts of Kentucky, are participating in the first seventh-grade student exchange program between their schools. The girls will stay at each other’s homes, attend school together, and record their experience in their journals. Catherine and her family have a beautiful home with plenty of space. Since Ivy June’s house is crowded, she lives with her grandparents. Her Pappaw works in the coal mines supporting four generations of kinfolk. Ivy June can’t wait until he leaves that mine forever and retires. As the girls get closer, they discover they’re more alike than different, especially when they face the terror of not knowing what’s happening to those they love most.
