Ruby Langford Ginibi' s remarkable talent for storytelling grabbed the attention of both black and white Australians when she released Don' t Take Your Love to Town, which has gone on to become a bestseller and is now a seminal work of Indigenous memoir. Don' t Take Your Love to Town is a story of courage in the face of poverty and tragedy. Ruby recounts losing her mother when she was six, growing up in a mission in northern New South Wales and leaving home when she was fifteen. She lived in tin huts and tents in the bush and picked up work on the land while raising nine children virtually single-handedly. Later she struggled to make ends meet in the Koori areas of Sydney. Don' t Take Your Love to Town is a brilliant memoir that will open your eyes and heart to an extraordinary woman' s story.

This book tells the story of Terania Creek – the world’s first direct action blockade in defence of a forest, occurring in Australia in 1979. Contrary to claims that the Australian counterculture was a mere imitation of overseas models, the Australian movement, coalescing with a home-grown environment movement, came of age at Terania Creek. After five years of ‘polite’ campaigning failed to stop the logging of ancient Gondwanan rainforest, an organic and spontaneous blockade erupted that would see the forging of a number of ingenious blockading techniques and strategies. The activist repertoire developed at Terania Creek has since echoed across the country, and across the Earth. This book draws on extensive oral history interviews as well as photographs taken of the protest in 1979; such rich source material brings the story to life. Terania Creek and the Forging of Modern Environmental Activism will therefore appeal to both a scholarly audience as well as activists, practitioners, and counterculturalists.

This is a collection of poems from between 1970 and 1988, selected while Glenn was living in the hills outside of Kyogle on the north coast of New South Wales. The poems were written on stray scraps of paper and dated. Glenn revisited the collection in 2006 and added stories about what was happening around the time the poems were written. He wasn't trying to interpret, just to offer a context where he thought it was illuminating. Between love and armour there is poise, and afterwards there is the stillness where all things are possible.

He Called Me By My Name is the combination of two books: Book One: Over the Next Hill and Book Two: Courage and Hope. These books were written over an extended period: between the late '80s and 1998 for Book One and in 2005-2006 for Book Two. Book One: Over the Next Hill is the story of my life from my birth in Adria, Italy, to 1997 when our family left far north Queensland to find a home in New South Wales. The book relates the story of my childhood dreams and troubles, my travels and my struggle to find the meaning of my life. Book Two: Courage and Hope tells the story of our life in Lismore, both as parents and as a couple whose children have left home. Having achieved some of the purposes related in Book One: Over the Next Hill, I relate what happens in our family and how I came to terms with many of the questions of my youth.
