Love Or Duty Iii

When King Ivan and Katarina met it had been love stirring from the start. Until it appeared he had chosen duty over love. After the deaths of both his previous wives, King Ivan is now back with his first and true love, Katarina. They were supposed to be each other’s one and true love, soul-mates even. Yet, now they seem so distant and out of touch with one another. Will the truth about Ivan’s decision all those years ago help the royal couple overcome the invisible wall in their relationship? Meanwhile, there is a war on the horizon with someone in the palace seemingly helping the neighboring kingdoms to invade Assyria. Ivan must prove to be a strong King in the battle arena as well as find the love that brought him so much joy back when he first met his love... Maybe he will find there can be love in duty?

After the passing of his Father, Prince Ivan must now take the mantle he never wanted... ‘King of Assyria’. Will he be able to rule as the great King his older Brother was supposed to be before he abdicated the throne? It won’t be an easy task with his mother, the Queen, still alive and as power hungry as ever. Ivan struggles with his new found power he soon finds himself married to women he does not truly love. Maybe he will learn to love them? Maybe there is duty in love? Or maybe there is love in duty? As Ivan continues to fight with the dilemma of love or duty it may come down to his older Brother to solve the dilemma he had previously put his younger brother in. Maybe there is duty in love?

When Prince Ivan’s older brother Petar gives up his rightful inheritance as the next King of Assyria to be with the one he loves, Ivan is left in a compromising position. He has served in the temple all his life to undertake priesthood and is now thrust into the role of ‘future King’ without the training, knowledge or experience to undertake such a task. Ivan is sent away to live amongst his people, in a village where no person will recognise him. His mother the Queen gives him one ultimatum. He is not to fall in love with a commoner. He is however, to learn the ways of the common man so he can become a King for the people. Ivan undertakes this task to fulfil his duty as King of Assyria. However, in his new found home far away from the palace he meets a young lady by the name of Katarina. It is not long before he finds himself in the same dilemma as his older Brother. Will he choose love or will he choose to fulfil his duty?
