Lovecraft S Library

A reconstruction of the contents of the private library of H.P. Lovecraft, which was dispersed soon after his death. Compiled from various sources, principally a list of books in Lovecraft's house before the dispersal, prepared by his neighbor Mary Spink, and references in Lovecraft's correspondence, as well as copies of books known to have been owned by him.

When unworldly fantasist H.P. Lovecraft was approached by crafty fanatic George Sylvester Viereck to write an American Mein Kampf, the bait was almost irresistible. If Lovecraft would lend his pen and his Anglo-Saxon stock to the fascist cause, Viereck would arrange the publication in proper book form of a volume of his stories, hitherto scattered in pulp magazines. Whilst the famous horror writer had some pretty obnoxious political opinions, his friends didn't really believe he knew what deep waters he was getting himself into. And so began a concerted effort to keep H.P. Lovecraft out of the clutches of the forces of darkness that were to plunge the world into war...

"Incredible Adventures" is a collection of five novellas by Algernon Blackwood. The novellas share a common theme: losing our spiritual nature and efforts to return to the basics. Each story has a different plot. "The Regeneration of Lord Ernie," tells about a professor who suddenly found a strange cult in the mountains of France that worships the elemental forces of air and fire.
