Masseiana Volume Three Part One

This is the first volume in Massey's duo-volumes typological trilogy in which he attempts to demonstrate the African genesis of the human race, and its apotheosis in the ancient civilisation of Egypt, with remnants of the diaspora to be found throughout the world, and recoverable through the study of types. Volume One concentrates on the British Isles. In this revised edition, the text has been tidied up, punctation improved for easier reading, spellings modernised, foreign words italicised, quotations checked against the original sources and corrected where necessary, titles and author names corrected, whilst still retaining the original pagination and Massey's footnotes. All referential and bibliographical notes have been moved to a separate volume. (See Volume 3, Part 2.) An important work like this has now, after long research and considerable labour, been given a new lease of life so that its light can shine once more yet with greater clarity.

Another in our series of study aids to Massey's voluminous works, our 'Notes' companion books to each of Massey's major works aim to be concise and informative, helping the reader with vague and obscure references, filling in missing information, providing full quotations, elaborations on ancient sites referred to, translations of foreign texts, annotations on Massey's citations and notifications of possible errors, replete with illustrations cited throughout the corpus. This series is compatible with any edition as it follows the pagination of the originals and can be used in conjunction with those, the reprints or our revised versions. The Black Book of the Yezidis was first published in English over 120 years ago. Since then it has garnered much critical attention by ethnologists and theologians, receiving condemnation in some quarters as a fake, and in others a nod of approval as being possibly the only legitimate text (along with the Book of the Revelation) that gives some insight into these remarkable people and their beliefs. The editor has done an outstanding job in compiling six different translations and providing exhaustive notes. His introduction explains how this short text has been perceived by the outside world and believes it should be taken more seriously as it in essence contains a grain of truth. An extensive bibliography is also provided for those who may wish to do some further research into the Yezidis who are now being forced to scatter abroad, far from their homeland of Iraq, thanks to the ongoing political turmoil in their country. Hopefully this book will compensate for any injustices they have already suffered, and will enable others to view them with a deeper appreciation.

The ocean was the origin of life on earth billions of years ago and it is vital for the future of humanity.
