This composition scuttles from there to here with unpronounceable spaces in between. I suggest you read it with a sense of youthful whimsy and curiosity, and if these little ditties dont comport with your understanding of the universe, you may do what I sometimes do. When I wonder why, after applying noteworthy effort, some idea just still isnt where I can grasp it, I cant my face toward the night sky and look upward, seeking an audience with the nearest moonbeam, hoping it holds the answer up there, somewhere, waiting.

These poems are about the little things in life, the snippets that make up millions of moments in time. From eating ice cream cones and reading under the covers in summer camp to dealing with life's clutter. But they are also about the "big" issues of life- aging, separation, devasting illness and death. However, even with these inelegant moments, there is often humor, because we do not control many events that cross our paths in the course of a life. If we can laugh along the way, maybe we can ease the pain.

Reviews "This book exceeded all my expectations as it is a firework of deep emotions and hope. A collection of vividly relatable poems. I don't use this word very often, but I'd say this book is a masterpiece and the best book I've read this year. If you suffer from a broken heart or ever felt the pain of heartbreak I can highly recommend this beautiful collection." - Ginnie Bale, author of Forever is Just a Moment and Drama Queen "This book highlights the hurt of heartbreak, the mending process and moving on. I found the content well written, vulnerable, relatable and easy to connect with. Check it out!" - Tessa Glasgow, author of Wildfire from Hell "This book felt like a story in poetry form, flowing beautifully and clearly polished. I feel so much love and care from these poems - as I do with all her poems - and that 's part of what makes her poetry resonate so much with me. I love the varying stanza and poem structures she uses, some very short (1-2 lines) while others are several stanzas. It provides a showcase of what she can do as a poet while the quality of each piece remains solid. As a fan, I struggled to review this book without squealing like the fangirl I am, but I nonetheless thoroughly enjoyed this book!" - Brooke Goodwin, author of Exposed and In this Glass Prism About the Author Shelby Marie is a poet from Ontario, Canada. Author Lissi Seneway has devoted her career to the study of the human condition. She seeks to tap into every emotion of her readers. Lissi believes that we have to feel to remember we are alive and that acknowledging our dark side can help us find life in the light. Moonbeams and Melted Spoons presents a collection of raw, gritty poems that shed light on struggles that are often hidden and battlefields of wars often unseen; they invite you to contemplate and conceptualize the emotional carnage of shattered lives. These verses come from unique perspectives; the protagonists include veterans, survivors of sexual assault and child abuse, alcoholics, drug addicts, and people struggling with mental health disorders. The poems do not necessarily have proverbial happy endings, but in real life, many people with these types of experiences do find peace. Giving voices to those who might not have found their own yet, this collection of poetry explores the battles faced by those dealing with addiction, mental illness, and trauma.

What are your experiences of life? In this compilation of poetry written over a span of twenty years, the author takes you on an adventure --- one that is easily relatable to your own. Her own experience of awakening to joy and bliss, and connection with all of humanity, is expressed through her poems. We see that we are not all that different as human beings, even though our circumstances may be. In some ways, we are all still children at heart. Her words are at times playful and joyous; curious about life and our surroundings; and looking to what makes us who we are. The poems have a simplicity about them yet allow the reader to experience something beyond the surface and the words. They allow us to connect with all of mankind.
