Drawing on his global experiences from Africa to Iraq, author Ralph Peters attacks today's crucial issues of our time head-on, with the clear eye and blunt voice that has won him a devoted following: Is Iraq worth it? What's the truth behind the politics? Are our defense dollars buying a strong military--or the wrong military? Are we missing great opportunities elsewhere while hypnotized by the Middle East? Must we accept that Islam itself is the problem? Will we face a war with China? What would such a war mean? Can Washington learn from its mistakes? These are just a few of the controversial issues Peters takes on in a series of body blows to the status quo. Famed as the most original strategist of our time, Ralph Peters builds on the critical and commercial success of previous books, Wars of Blood and Faith(978-0-8117-0274-4) andNew Glory(1-59523-011-4), to offer a stunningly fresh vision for our military, our country, and the world.

Being behind bars doesnt make you, as an inmate, less of a human being. Therefore, do not identify yourself with your temporary situation. But since you are behind bars, you need to take responsibility. And while taking responsibility, you need to forgive yourself and forgive those who might have done you wrong. And once you forgive, then you need to live life in jail, in prison, or under house arrest by following rules and demonstrating good behavior to help make your sentence easier and maybe shorter. And until you get free, do not waste your time in a cell doing nothing of value; instead, put your potential, abilities, and gifts to use. And lastly, mentally prepare yourself to live life beyond bars by applying every single lesson learned from the cell. The church and society need to address the issue of ex-inmates reentry as partners and complement each other in facing this issue. The society and the church need to understand that just because these individuals are behind bars, that doesnt make them any less human than everybody else. They have a right to live, a right to be forgiven, and a right to be accepted back into society. These individuals are called inmates while serving time, but once they have paitd their dues and are set free, that name changes to ex-inmates and should eventually switch to citizens. Where society falls short, the church needs to pick up the slack and serve these citizens. And where the church falls short, society needs to step in and help these citizens. We cannot afford to let these ex-inmates live in a life cycle where they go in and out of jail, prison, and house arrest. We have to prove the statistics wrong. Society can provide programs to help these citizens reintegrate much more smoothly. The church can finally become what it was intended to be and provide a safe environment in which these restored citizens will live a life worthy of being called citizens and not return to old behavior and a life back behind bars.

I am simply just a person who wrote these poems as Father Yahweh whispered the words into the ears of my heart. Its not so much that Father Yahweh gave them to me but I made myself available and allowed Him to use me and give me the words to write. When after sharing what I have written with others many people have told me that I am talented. I disagree. Father Yahweh is The One with all of the talents and if He sees you using one of His talents He will use you to perfect it and give you a gift. Father Yahweh cant use you if you dont allow Him to. Its like in Isaiah 6:8 Also I heard The Voice of Father Yahweh saying, Whom shall I send? Who will go for Us? Then said I, Here am I, send me!!!

The fight for women's suffrage between women's rights leader Alice Paul and President Woodrow Wilson is creatively presented as a four-round boxing match in this energetic nonfiction picture book. When Woodrow Wilson was elected President, he didn't know that he would be participating in one of the greatest fights of the century: the battle for women's right to vote. The formidable Alice Paul led the women's suffrage movement, and saw President Wilson's election as an opportunity to win the vote to women. She battered her opponent with endless strategic arguments and carefully coordinated protests, calling for a new amendment granting women the right to vote. With a spirit and determination that never quit--even when peaceful protests were met with violence and even when many women were thrown in jail--Paul eventually convinced President Wilson to support her cause, changing the country forever. Cleverly framed as a boxing match, this book provides a fascinating and compelling look at an important moment in American history. Sarah Green's bright, detailed illustrations perfectly accompany award-winning author Barb Rosenstock's captivating narrative.
