This is a book of hope; hope for the future and hope for the present. I have seen a cancer in American society grow over the years and I felt the need to address it in the most powerful manner possible, through God. Race relations and racism in my opinion are in a state of regression in the United States. I see and hear things as an American black these days that I never thought I would see and hear in my lifetime. I sense an uneasy calm between the races that does not need to be there, held in place only by the vague concept of political correctness. But the heart is still active and no one knows how it will act next. In addressing racism, in this brief work, I redefine it, explain why it is here and offer solutions for its eradication. I require a trust form the reader and a partnership. Self-less trust is one of the most fundamentally lacking elements in American society today and this is what I request from the reader. The inclination to discriminate because of race comes from a number of sources. I have identified pride, ignorance, fear, jealousy and hatred as some of the key motivations. I have sought to quell these negative emotions through the Bible and in solving these emotions, solve the actions they lead to, including racism. Next I seek to explain, through the Bible, how racism came into being and why it continues to be; then I discuss the victim and racism, what the victim experiences; next I seek to show, still through Bible scripture, how we can curb our worst natures through the Bible; lastly I show how solving racism can lead to solutions to other problems both here in America and in the world. To make this all happen I must have the readers trust and courage. Solving racism is an easy task. It takes only a shedding of self. Selfishness is the biggest obstacle to cooperation and unity.

This is not just another book about racial reconciliation. Part history, part societal analysis, part vision, and part strategy, this book illuminates how society is using American Christianity's racially-tarnished history to diminish its influence, and what Christians need to do to take back control. From the historical causes of racial divisions within our churches to the subtle but persistent wars that society is waging against the faith, the author weaves an intricate tapestry that illustrates how society has evolved to negatively stereotype Christianity and many of its core teachings as racist. Christian blacks and Christian whites now fight as if on a smoke-engulfed battlefield, unknowingly waging war on one another even as they try to win the same spiritual and social battles around them. Seen through the lens of the slow drip of societal change, the author exposes Christians as not only siloed within individual, racially, and socially isolated congregations, but unwittingly aiding in the marginalization of their faith within American culture. Not only are Christians failing to have the impact they could and should, they are inadvertently supporting society's efforts to simultaneously divide the races, split the nation, and conquer any hope of Christianity's influence. Offering solid solutions for the future of American Christianity and its influence on a world in need, the author delves deeply and precisely into the dramatic actions that both Christian whites and Christian blacks must take. By becoming "upright" as the Bible commands, and changing the way they think, speak, act, and interact, Christian whites and Christian blacks can clear the smoke from the battlefield, unite in action across denominations and races, and bring glory to God and a New Awakening to the faith.

"RACISM," the most hated word of our time; but it need not be so. Contrary to what the Judeo-Christian churches teach, the Bible is primarily about race. "Racism is NOT a Bad Word" takes you through a Bible study revealing the racist character of God. Did you know that the Bible traces the history of one family (race)? Did you know that God's own appellation is a genealogical name? Did you know the Bible promotes the segregation of the races? Did you know the Bible forbids interracial marriages? Did you know the Bible says there is a time to hate? These concepts are considered "disturbing" today; and "politically incorrect." Have we all been lied to about the nature of race and race relations?"

A compassionate, shame-free guide for your darkest days “A one-of-a-kind book . . . to read for yourself or give to a struggling friend or loved one without the fear that depression and suicidal thoughts will be minimized, medicalized or over-spiritualized.”—Kay Warren, cofounder of Saddleback Church What happens when loving Jesus doesn’t cure you of depression, anxiety, or suicidal thoughts? You might be crushed by shame over your mental illness, only to be told by well-meaning Christians to “choose joy” and “pray more.” So you beg God to take away the pain, but nothing eases the ache inside. As darkness lingers and color drains from your world, you’re left wondering if God has abandoned you. You just want a way out. But there’s hope. In I Love Jesus, But I Want to Die, Sarah J. Robinson offers a healthy, practical, and shame-free guide for Christians struggling with mental illness. With unflinching honesty, Sarah shares her story of battling depression and fighting to stay alive despite toxic theology that made her afraid to seek help outside the church. Pairing her own story with scriptural insights, mental health research, and simple practices, Sarah helps you reconnect with the God who is present in our deepest anguish and discover that you are worth everything it takes to get better. Beautifully written and full of hard-won wisdom, I Love Jesus, But I Want to Die offers a path toward a rich, hope-filled life in Christ, even when healing doesn’t look like what you expect.
