In Cinda's first book A Gift of Poems she had written several inspirational poems since 1986...After collecting several of the poems, she felt it was God's timing to get them published in July of 2011...Cinda also wrote Prayers with Praise with some of her favorite Scriptures by writing them for her friend's website Soar with the Eagle, then had the prayers with scriptures published by Author House in September of 2011...In this book called Obedience Rather Than Sacrifice, Cinda has written about situations that occurred in her life in being submissive to her parents and then to her husband by trial and error with the Scriptures as her foundation...In addition to the short autobiography, she has included inspirational poems that blend in with some of the topics, also a documentation on the last days and the coming of the Lord. So, sit back, relax and enjoy yourself as you take time with the Lord as you read poems that will give you His peace and stories that will encourage you in the Lord. Dedicated to the Lord's work in sharing the gospel of Christ.

The author of Desiring God reveals the biblical evidence to help us see and savor what the pleasures of God show us about Him. Includes a study guide for individual and small-group use. Isn’t it true—we really don’t know someone until we understand what makes that person happy? And so it is with God! What does bring delight to the happiest Being in the universe? John Piper writes, that it’s only when we know what makes God glad that we’ll know the greatness of His glory. Therefore, we must comprehend “the pleasures of God.” Unlike so much of what is written today, this is not a book about us. It is about the One we were made for—God Himself. In this theological masterpiece—chosen by World Magazine as one of the 20th Century’s top 100 books, John Piper reveals the biblical evidence to help us see and savor what the pleasures of God show us about Him. Then we will be able to drink deeply—and satisfyingly—from the only well that offers living water. What followers of Jesus need now, more than anything else, is to know and love—behold and embrace—the great, glorious, sovereign, happy God of the Bible. “This is a unique and precious book that everybody should read more than once.” —J.I. PACKER, Regent College, Vancouver, British Columbia

In the scriptures Ephesians 5: 21-29 the Bible tells us "Wives, submit to your own husbands as unto the Lord" v. 22, along with Ephesians 6: 1, "Children, obey your parents in the Lord" for this is right...My book is based on scriptures and the experiences I have had in life. I learned at the age of 31 when I moved back in with my parents to learn how to submit to them, which prepared me for learning how to submit to my own husband of 31 years but not without trial and error. God's mercy and forgiveness gives one hope to live by. I blended in the poems with the testimonies to help one to understand about Christ love. I pray this will encourage others to realize how important it is to obey God's word. His word comes with a promise, "He will never leave us nor forsake us" in our life's journey with Jesus.

Profound reflections on the cross that help you to meditate on and marvel at the sacrificial love of Jesus. This book can be used as a devotional, especially during Lent and Easter. These profound reflections on the cross from David Mathis, author of The Christmas We Didn’t Expect, will help you to meditate on and marvel at Jesus’ life, sacrificial death, and spectacular resurrection-enabling you to treasure anew who Jesus is and what he has done. Many of us are so familiar with the Easter story that it becomes easy to miss subtle details and difficult to really enjoy its meaning. This book will help you to pause and marvel at Jesus, whose now-glorified wounds are a sign of his unfailing love and the decisive victory that he has won: “He was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.” (Isaiah 53:5) This book can be used as a devotional. The chapters on Holy Week make it especially helpful during the Lent season and at Easter.

In this history of the development of monotheism, the author explains how Israel's religion evolved from a cult of Yahweh as a primary deity among many to a fully defined monotheism with Yahweh as sole god. Repudiating the traditional scholarly premise that Israel was fundamentally different in culture and religion from its Canaanite neighbors, he shows that the two cultures were fundamentally similar.
