On The Plantation A Story Of A Georgia Boy S Adventures During The War

This is an adventurous story set against the backdrop of the American Civil War. It is an enjoyable recounting of plantation life during the tumultuous period. Excerpt from 'On the Plantation' "The post-office in the middle Georgia village of Hillsborough used to be a queer little place, whatever it is now. It was fitted up in a cellar; and the postmaster, who was an enterprising gentleman from Connecticut, had arranged matters so that those who went after their letters and papers could at the same time get their grocery supplies."

Unlike some other reproductions of classic texts (1) We have not used OCR(Optical Character Recognition), as this leads to bad quality books with introduced typos.
