Once Upon A Mine

Memorial University of Newfoundland presents the full text of the book "Once upon a Mine: Story of Pre-Confederation Mines on the Island of Newfoundland" (ISBN 0-919086-03-9) as part of the Newfoundland and Labrador Heritage Web Site Project. The book was written by Wendy Martin and originally published by the Canadian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (CIMM). The book focuses on the people involved in mining in Newfoundland, Canada, from the 18th century until World War II.
