The book "PALMISTRY, A TRUE SCIENCE", is a carefully compiled book which contains 13 theories, 210 sketches of lines of the human palms, 64 case studies, 61 clearly and uniquely taken palm impressions. Ever since the origination of this subject, this is the first time that the human palms have been thoroughly analyzed "with reference to both the palms". For the author, the left hand and the right hand of 1000's of cases functioned as one whole comprehensive unit to enable him to compare the structural inter-relationships between different lines. The net result was that he could decipher the differences in dimensions between the left and the right palms such as - difference in lengths, slope, shortness, direction, location, fading characteristics, whether present in one or both the palms etc. The above aspect in his approach to the research was aimed at finding just the structural aspects of the lines on human palms. The other side of the coin is to relate the functions (events, diseases and temperaments) to the line patterns already discovered by the author. For this part of the research, he had to employ sophisticated techniques that only an investigator, a logician, an analyst or a statistician could have employed. In other words, the author employed some of the appropriate human qualities such as tact, wildest imagination, deep analytical power, trial and error method, wild guesses and compilation techniques so that he could bind together all the varied structural and functional extravaganzas present in the hands of his innumerable clients, into cohesive, presentable as well as verifiable rules and theories. Keeping in mind the vast dimension of this great science, the author could accommodate only 3 functions [MONEY and BUSINESS, JOB/CAREER and OVERSEAS TRAVEL / STAY] in this book. His forthcoming books deal with other life events, diseases and human temperaments. This book boasts of so many "firsts". To quote some examples: 1) No book has documented any provable, testable theories (13 in number) in such a minute degree. In the process, this book has secured an exalted status to "PALMISTRY"as a "TRUE SCIENCE". It goes without saying that "palm reading" is a scientific exercise - on par with any other science. 2) No book has featured as many as 64 case studies, and 61 clear palm impressions ( A very high number!! of real examples for a book of this genre--an all time record, all accommodated in just 250 pages 3) One among many highlights of the book is that almost all the palm impressions have been marked out and their corresponding function(s) indicated [A first-time-ever phenomenon] which enhances its authenticity as well as proves its scientific nature. 4) Genuineness of the whole venture lies in the fact that the whole edifice of this book rests on the solid foundation of real life events / diseases / temperaments of all his clients.[ Principles, rules and theories -all derived from these real stories] 5) And the people, the world over, are going to be exposed to an entirely new subject, for the most part of the book (about 95%) is hitherto unheard-of. 6) Last, but not the least, this book has the great potential to spawn a new breed of researchers, as this subject has immense scope for further research. In a world of continuing research, even one discovery fetches world acclaim and recognition, one can imagine what lies in store for this book, which has innumerable discoveries dotting the entire book. Excerpt from Perin's Science of Palmistry: A Complete and Authentic Treatise, Logically Arranged and Profusely Illustrated, on the Science of Palmistry, Based Upon the Principles of Astrology, the Works of Ancient and Modern Palmists and the Experiences of the Author Various ways were adopted by the Ancients for di vining characters and fore-telling future events. By auguries, by the entrails of birds being accidentally placed upon the altar, and other ways too numerous and too well known for the author to make much further mention. Among them, however, the method of divining char acter by the science of Astrology gained the greatest degree of prominence. The exact age of Astrology is not known, but it was first arranged in a code of mysteries called the Cabala, which the magi handed down to the succeeding genera tion orally. The science of Astrology was practiced many centur ies ago In almost all of the countries of the East, and those ancient philosophers laid great stress upon the influence exerted by the planets over the physical, moral and mental conditions of man. They considered seven the only perfect number, and they limited the number of stars having any influence upon mind and matter to seven. The word 'Ullangai' (palm of the hand) can also be characterized to mean the Mind (ULLAM) and the HAND (Kai) of a human being. The Tamil word ULLAM, (transliterated in English script) represents the Mind. Likewise, the Tamil word 'KAI represents the HAND. What one means in his mind could be read through his hand. The mounts and lines seen in one's hand (Palm) clearly indicate the happenings in life (Past, Present and Future). The ancient sages of our country had showed their excellency in the art of palmistry for centuries in the past. By reading there linear markings in palms they could tell the ups and downs in one's life and the ways to better one's prosperity (as read from the markings) and also the safeguarding measures to ward off any ill - predictions. But unfortunately, those sages of the ancient times did train up only a few of their followers, who showed their integrity & affinity towards their masters by adopting GURUKULA VASAM. The extent was limited to GURU - SISHYA bindings alone. Inspite of these limitations and selfish attitudes, the Art of Palmistry, somehow or other, expanded its base and sooner than later, many countries in the world at large began to taste the benefits accruing from it. In course of time, this art of Palmistry had attained the status attached to Sasthras but also became to be known as a scientific sector. During the 17th/18th Centuries, the science of Palmistry was instituted as one among other important branches of study in LEIPZIG and HALL Universities of Germany. At the next stage, Palmistry was used for the benefit of fields such as Medicines, Psychology and Sociology. In the country of Greece, Alexander the Great who also happened to be a philosopher, had full faith in Palmistry. Out of fascination he was persuaded to such an extent that he handed over a book on the science of Palmistry to the Great Philosopher of Greece, ARISTOTLE in order that the Great Man would translate that book into Greek language. When printing technology was not in vogue that time, books were written manually in golden letters. The book on 'Palmistry Science' translated into Greek by ARISTOTLE was one of those, manually written. As and when Printing Technology came into being, the book translated by ARISTOTLE was also printed among other manually written ones. It is worth noting that these books including the one translated by ARISTOTLE were the first lot that had been published first and foremost. The same is now being preserved and kept in the British Archeological Centre. It is also worth noting that a copy of an ancient Book on Palmistry is preserved in one of the PYRAMID Towers in Egypt. In the Holy Bible (Samuel Chapter) a line of words viz "What is there in my Palm that suggest some evil happening?" could be found. 'Sri Rudhra' Speaks high of the Hand as follows: "This Hand that I possess depicts the real sight of God in entirety. This is more than the Lord himself to me. This serves as medicine to myself and all other living beings. This is the one that touches Lord SHIVA and does the POOJA." There are lines on the entire human body, of course. One can easily observe such lines on his own feet among all these, the lines appearing in the palms alone are being taken very often for research work. Hence the title 'SCIENTIFIC TRUTH ON PALMISTRY' given to this English version of my creation. I have dealt with mostly on the general aspects of Palmistry so that they may apply to all religions. This very fact itself will stand by me everlasting, I hope. The courageousness which generated in me from this fact persuades are to request the readers to give their support whole heartedly.

The hand tells a story about your talents, relationships, health, and how you feel about yourself. It reveals periods of ease or challenge in your life, and it speaks about your weaknesses and the traits you need to develop. As you change, so do your hands, reflecting the progress you have made. In this comprehensive guide to hand reading, based on Ellen Goldberg’s 40 years of teaching palmistry and the Western Mystery tradition, the authors make the powerful insights of the hand accessible in an inviting and user-friendly manner. The book presents the character traits and personality archetypes associated with each of the seven mounts of the palm and shows how to determine which are most influential in the nature of the individual. The book also examines other factors that enhance the qualities revealed by the mount types, including the flexibility of the hand, texture of the skin, and the shapes of the fingers, fingertips, and nails. The meaning of each major and minor line is described in detail as well as the influence the person’s own mind has in healing defects and obstacles found on their lines. The authors also provide accurate timing guides for each line, making it possible to locate specific events and to see how your lines change over time. Presenting the hand as a guide to self-fulfillment, The Art and Science of Hand Reading incorporates correspondences to other mystical sciences such as astrology, Kabbalah, the Hermetic teachings, and archetypal psychology.
