The Sovereign Psyche is not just the title of the book. More importantly The Sovereign Psyche is the motivating consciousness, intellect, and willpower that is necessary to materialize what the book defines as "Self-Authentic Freedom" as opposed to "Chattel Freedom." Chattel freedom is when the value of a people is predicated upon the extent to which they serve the interests and institutions of others. As such, this work asserts that there is no such thing as intellectual or institutional equality, and that Black/African people have been unknowingly thrusted into an intellectual and institutional war, where second-place finishers either experience varying degrees of chattel freedom or they could end-up dead. Regardless of the issue, genuine solutions entail what we as Black/African people intellectually and institutionally do for ourselves. If "Black Lives Matter" we must channel the end-uses of our intellect and the resources of our institutions to not only prove and enforce it, but also leverage powers to penalize and/or repudiate violators. Although this work centers upon Black/African people, the sovereign functions and frameworks herein are universal in application, being that todays world rotates upon systems of sovereignty and power, not beliefs in democracy or equality. In this context, the sovereign concepts and criteria presented are far more rational than radical. The central question is, to what extent will Black/African people harness the willpower and employ the intellect of The Sovereign Psyche to actualize our own systems and institutions of self-authentic freedom, government, and development, without apology or permission? This work offers the ideological apparatus to make this possible, just as others are doing all around the globe.

I would be happy if Mt. Samat: An Easter Story contained some certain literary worth, but I cannot be the judge for my opinion is skewed and I feel unworthy in the arena of literary wisdom. I can; however, hope that the story is worthy of a reading at least by my children. I believe there can be no greater goal for fiction than to give the reader a true slice of the life of its characters, setting, and in a sense, speak for those who cannot speak for themselves. Such is the value of Faulkner's Light in August, although I tremble to even mention that hollowed name when referencing something I have written. Thus my goal, other than to entertain the reader with words is to search for what remains hidden, and to reflect how it really was. Mt. Samat: An Easter Story is a fictional account of three days and nights spent by two companies of men near and on a mountain, Mt. Samat, over Easter weekend a few years ago. Men of different colors and cultures gather on the mountain with one common goal, the liberty of Asia, but liberty as seen through different eyes. Each company experiences dire trials and deadly difficulties as they try in earnest to do their duty. New acquaintances are made on the trail to the top and by surprise an old acquaintance is renewed. As the Sunday worship hour approaches, there is a wild rush for the summit; however, like the first Easter, blood will freely flow on Mt. Samat before the story ends.

The advent of President Barack Obama indicates a necessary and long-awaited political shift in time and history, which also conveys veiled implications of our sovereign potentials as a people. What once seemed politically improbable has proven to be politically achievable. Our only political limitations exist within the limits of our vision and courage. To this end, Ezrah Aharone factually sculpts the sociopolitical substance of our historical experience into a sovereign consciousness and political language to initiate a Manifest Destiny from Civil Rights to Sovereign Rights.

Red: The males will definitely challenge Jagger’s rule now even though he permitted me to publicly castrate Breaker. It didn’t matter if I killed him or not. The males will want me to hang. Jagger sends Knight and me away for a while but tempers are heated when we return. There are several attempts on my life, killing many of my sisters in the process. I learn more about Jagger, the dacked up mess my world that is far worse than I could imagine, and I’ve not only fallen for Knight and can’t imagine leaving without him. Knight: The men weren’t happy with how Jagger’s been running things, and now with his public display between Breaker and Red, it’ll just be a matter of time for his death to occur. I should sit back and watch it happen yet there’s something to his actions and words that are making me question everything I was taught and trained about in my home sovereign. There is a new rising taking place and it’s not because Jagger allowed Red to challenge Breaker publicly and allowed her to live. Words haunt me each day since they’ve been spoken and I wonder if this is the final demise to all of Jaru: old blood must pour for new blood to be born, lies are truths and truths are lies.
