Tiffany Bluhm wishes this wasn't her story to tell. Yet like many women today who are taking action against sexual harassment and sexual assault, it is. Bluhm explores the complex dynamics of power and abuse in systems we all find ourselves in. With honesty and strength, she tells stories of how women have overcome silence to expose the truth about their ministry and professional leaders--and the backlash they so often face. In so doing, she empowers others to speak up against abuses of power. Addressing men and women in all work settings--within the church and beyond--popular author and podcast host Tiffany Bluhm sets out to understand the cultural and spiritual narratives that silence women and to illuminate the devastating emotional, financial, and social impact of silence in the face of injustice. As readers journey with Bluhm, they will be moved to find their own way, their own voice, and their own conviction for standing with women. They'll emerge more ready than ever to advocate for justice, healing, and resurrection.

**Expanded Anniversary Edition** High octane Christian suspense meets women’s fiction in this battle of wits between the prayer warrior and the fallen hero. Ruth Warner is broken. Her adult niece’s violent death at the hands of a serial rapist-murderer leaves her bitter. Tempted to reject her faith, Ruth instead finds healing through praying for the victims’ families. But pray for the predator himself? Never. Until she does—and a botched kidnapping leaves her as his next victim. He grabbed the wrong woman. Harry Silver is a champion race car driver gone wrong. His dark passions destroyed innocent lives, and now they’ve shattered the career he loved. Stuck with this middle-aged captive instead of the girl who fuelled his passions, Harry vows to make his prisoner pay. For being the wrong woman—and for being a Christian. Her only hope is his salvation. Harry has no idea he’s stumbled into a battle for his soul—a soul he knows is not worth saving. Ruth has invested too many prayers and tears to give up now. Not when his coming to faith is the only way to save her life. From the pulse-pounding tension to the grief and human drama, Heaven’s Prey will keep you turning pages. Where do I begin with this review? I think I should take my sisters advice and repeat what she often tells me: If I cant say amen, just say ouch. Keeping that in mind, Im over here saying ouch because author Toni L. Wortherly is on my toe stomping pretty hard with this petite but powerful book. As a single Christian woman combating some of the issues of loneliness and frustration associated with living a single life, this book speaks volumes to me. There is nothing like reading what youre going through to let the reader know they are not alone on this journey. As Ive pledged my life to following the tenants of my faith, its good to have confirmation, in the form of a book, which I can reference from time to time. Ill admit that Im not crazy about the title; I dont like to be referred to as prey or as the hunted. The Word of God says: He that finds a wife, finds a good thing so a loose translation would mean that I am prey. I would hope that my mate wouldnt refer to me in this manner. The translation would also imply that Im weak or defenseless; I feel that Im a strong vessel, who patiently awaits capture. Pray While Youre Prey is a great read for single women. Those of us who have the desire to be spiritually grounded in all that we do, can draw strength from the scripture, interpretation and study questions found at the end of each chapter. This is a book to share with your entire cadre of single sister friends as we journey down the path to closeness with God and the quest to be a virtuous woman and wife.
