This is an open access book. The covid-19 pandemic today forces humans to do almost all activities from home. Consequently, inventions in many fields of engineering technology are needed to facilitate those activities. First, human activities mainly are based on information technology today and internet connection is very important. People generate, send, and receive data by their smartphones every time and everything is connected to the internet. Equipment becomes smarter to assist the owner. Second, People need powerful, efficient, and smart vehicles and machines in Industry 4.0. Third, the need for energy increases, which causes the decrease of global environmental quality. It needs new technology for saving energy by discovering new technologies in mechanical engineering. Fourth, many technologies emerge as disaster prevention by developing innovations in civil engineering and architecture. The Engineering Faculty of University of Mataram invites engineers and researchers around the world to visit Lombok island and to attend the valuable multi fields conference on science and engineering named “The First Mandalika International Multi-conference on Science and Engineering 2022′′ or “1st MIMSE 2022”. This fruitful event will be the annual conference in Lombok island which is supported by the West Nusa Tenggara Province government. Initially, the 1st MIMSE 2022 consisted of 5 engineering fields are Civil, Architecture, Electrical, Mechanical, and Informatics Engineering.

This is an open access book. Faculty of Mechanics is organizing International Conference of Mechanical Engineering, ICOME 2022 that will be held on 18th-20th of May 2022. The aim of the conference is to provide opportunities for the participants to: Gain insight into the cutting-edge technologies and ideas for future developments; Update their skills and knowledge by attending focused technical sessions; Network with potential new partners, clients and suppliers; View the latest technology products and services in the technical exhibition. The conference aims to bring together scientists, engineers, manufacturers and users from all over the world to discuss common theoretical and practical problems, describe scientific applications and explore avenues for the future researches in the area of Mechanical engineering.

And engineering management refers to the management of important and complex new products, equipment and devices in the process of development, manufacturing and production, and also includes the study and management of technological innovation, technological transformation, transformation, transformation, layout and strategy of industrial engineering technology development. The development or breakthrough of management theory is accompanied by the development and progress of science and technology, and the level of science and technology and the level of management theory in each historical period are mutually adaptive, and it can be said that the progress of science and technology plays an important role in promoting the development of management. To create a forum for sharing, research and exchange at the international level, so that the participants can be informed of the latest research directions, results and contents of management science, which will inspire them to new ideas for research and practice. Papers on management science and engineering management will be accepted and published in the form of conference proceedings for those who cannot attend the conference.

This is proceeding for the 5th International Conference on Applied Engineering (ICAE 2022), held online in Batam, Indonesia on 5 October 2022. ICAE is an annual conference organized by Politeknik Negeri Batam. This year, ICAE was structured in 3 tracks namely Electronics, Informatics and Mechanicals. ICAE received 64 papers in various topics including Control Systems and Mechanical Engineering, Applied Mechanics and Control Systems, Computational Mechanics and Microelectronic Circuits and Systems, Micro-Electro-Mechanical System, RFID and Electronics Design, Electronics materials, Sensor Networks, Fuzzy Systems, AI and Expert Systems, Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, Architecture and Topology, Geo-Information, GIS and Remote Sensing, Multimedia Content, IoT, Semiconductor technology, IoT Devices and other related fields. All submission were peer-reviewed with at least 3 reviewers provided for each paper. A total of 37 selected, which is around 58% acceptance rate. We express gratitude to all who contributed to the success of ICAE 2022. We acknowledge the invaluable assistance of the track chairs and the track program committee members. It required the significant efforts of many people to make this virtual conference possible, especially in this time of COVID-19 pandemic.
