This is an open access book. We are delighted to announce that our biannual meeting this year will be held in person in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia on August 10–11, 2023. The primary goal of EST 2023 is to bring academic scientists, researchers, and scholars from diverse institutions in various countries to share their knowledges and findings on the rapidly changing environment and its challenges due to climate change.

This book consists of selected papers from the 2022 4th International Conference on Environment Sciences and Renewable Energy, which was held as a fully virtual conference during May 27–29, 2022. The book overviews the latest progress in environmental and energy technologies with a specific focus on wind turbines and hydrogen production. In the field of environmental science, wastewater treatment, air pollution abatement, solid waste treatment, and general policy recommendations are discussed. Technology advances, especially in wastewater nutrients and micropollutant removal, are covered. In policy measures, cost allocations, optimum recycling strategies, and environmental footprint allocations of different environmental technologies are included. In the field of renewable energy, several hot topics, including solar cells, offshore floating wind turbines, and renewable energy resource potentials in different regions are considered.

With the rapid increase of population, industrialization, urbanization, and the abuse of science and technology, environmental problems have showed an explosive development trend. Actions must be taken to ensure the rational exploitation and utilization of natural resources, prevent environmental pollution and ecological damage, and coordinate the relationship between environment and social development. Proceedings of 4th International Conference on Resources and Environmental Research (ICRER 2022) focuses on effective use of environmental resources, ecological restoration and remediation of degraded and polluted environment, and emission reduction technologies. This book brings the latest advances in resources and environmental research.

This is an open access book.Adaptive, Resilient & Collaborative EngineeringTowards Faster Recovery & Impactful Solutions The world in the last decade has been facing global issues such as accelerated global warming, depleting natural resources, food waste and scarcity, water contamination and shortage, energy conservation, etc. Enter the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 and we face what people term as double disruption. Not only solutions to the above problems are becoming more critical, but they are also needed fast. Timely and effective solutions are called for so that we can recover from the pandemic while at the same time carry our efforts to better our world. It is no longer sufficient to find solutions that can only delay the negative impacts from the above problems, but it is imperative to tip the balance and reverse the impacts to our advantage. Engineers and engineering have a vital role in inventing mechanisms, systems, and/or products that can address the solutions. Digital technologies and artificial intelligence have been at the forefront of such exploration and we can expect some hints for a better future, if we continue being adaptive, resilient, and collaborative. Given the above background, Faculty of Engineering - Universitas Surabaya, will host the fourth bi-annual international conference “The 4th International Conference on Informatics, Technology and Engineering 2023 (InCITE 2023)” in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, September 14th–15th, 2023. This event is a continuation of the past events successfully held in 2017, 2019, and 2021. We invite academia and business practitioners all around the globe to share ideas and best practices relevant to the above conference topic. We hope that this event can also serve as a platform of gathering for anyone interested in exploring potential solutions of our common problems today. Accepted and presented paper will be submitted for publication in reputable International Proceeding (Atlantis Press). See you in Yogyakarta!

This book consists of selected and presented papers from the 2022 12th International Conference on Environment Science and Engineering (ICESE 2022), which was held in Beijing, China, during September 2–5, 2022. The conference brought together innovative academicians and industrial experts in the field of environmental science and engineering in a common forum to promote their research and developmental activities. It also facilitated interchanging scientific information between researchers, developers, engineers, students, and practitioners working abroad. The book includes topics such as environmental sustainability, sustainable cities, environmental restoration and ecological engineering, water resources and river basin management, water treatment and reclamation, air pollution and control, atmospheric physics, carbon capture and storage, waste minimization, and resource management, among others. This book is a valuable reference for those who work in these fields in academia and industry.

This book contains the proceedings of the International Conference on Industrial Design and Environmental Engineering (IDEE 2023) held via the hybrid form in Zhengzhou, China from November 24th to 26th, 2023. The specific topics covered in this conference include innovative design, multimedia applied art design, environmental analysis and monitoring, pollution control programs, hydrology and water resources engineering, urban and regional planning, global climate change and international carbon emission reduction cooperation. The conference aims to bring together various professionals from the scientific community to foster connections between science, technology, and industry, and provide a platform for exploring fundamental issues and new applications in related fields. We hope that the scientific attitudes and skills developed through research will encourage scholars worldwide to contribute to the development of knowledge generated by research. Finally, we would like to express our gratitude to the conference chair, publication chairs, technical program committee chairs, local organizing chairs, program committee chairs, conference secretariat, and conference sponsors for their financial support, which made the successful organization of IDEE 2023 possible. This is an open access book.The 4th International Conference on Literature, Art and Human Development (ICLAHD 2022) was successfully held on October 28th-30th, 2022 in Xi’an, China (virtual conference). ICLAHD 2022 brought together academics and experts in the field of Literature, Art and Human Development research to a common forum, promoting research and developmental activities in related fields as well as scientific information interchange between researchers, developers, and engineers working all around the world.We were honored to have Assoc. Prof. Chew Fong Peng from University of Malaya, Malaysia to serve as our Conference Chair. The conference covered keynote speeches, oral presentations, and online Q&A discussion, attracting over 300 individuals. Firstly, keynote speakers were each allocated 30-45 minutes to hold their speeches. Then in the oral presentations, the excellent papers selected were presented by their authors in sequence.
