Also pertinent are the relationships of rainfall characteristics with each other. Because rainfall characteristics are complex, we need to consider some parameters that lessen the number of variables that must be dealt with. After the parameters are described, we discuss how they may vary from region to region. And finally, we present some alternatives for using rainfall parameters in simulating rainfall for research.
