Rambling Thoughts Or Pure Gold

What better way to use your experiences in life than to create a masterpiece! Experiences encountered that help mold us into the people we have become. This book of poetry is created from candid expressions of me growing up in a world that at times accepts you for who you are, and at the same time can reject you for who you are. It's all about survival. You find ways to make it through. Some of us get through situations by using music. Some just sit quietly in a corner, and then some use words or poetry like I did. There's something about writing it down that can make things appear different, or at least to help you think it through. Any situation is a thought process to uncover a solution or help create a different outcome. These Random Thoughts are reflections of all that.

This book is the result of many experiences that occurred during the authors seventy years of living. The various thoughts he expressed cover everything from birth to death and happiness to sadness.

Through my writhing the poems are nothing more than having a simple conversation between friends or family. They contain thoughts through life experiences and ideas built on knowledge from looking at the world as it was, is now or may be seen through my eyes. I pray that, although as simple as my work may be, someone will be touched by it. Included are poems about life to those of death. My only prayer is that you enjoy them. Fate and the Lady follows the modern day story of district nurse Christina Wise and her chance meeting with enigmatic ex-quarryman Mercy Slaughter and his friend FJ. Christina will be tested in her feelings for this man and his obsessive need to right a wrong committed against himself and his friends during a medieval battle re-enactment only a couple of years previously. His compulsion risks putting them all in mortal danger and even result in an international incident. Will Christina be able to save Slaughter from himself, or will he continue in his path of self-destruction? Add to the mix a French politician and his sidekick with an axe to grind; a hardcore group of Englishmen with vengeance in mind; and a mysterious Turkish billionairess with her own designs on Slaughter; and you end up with a volatile mix of sex, intrigue and bloody hand-to-hand combat.

Around 1720 in Fez A?mad b. al-Mub?rak al-Lama??, a religious scholar, wrote down the words and teachings of the Sufi master ?Abd al-?Az?z al-Dabb?gh. Al-Dabb?gh shunned religious studies but, having reached illumination and met with the Prophet Mu?ammad, he was able to explain any obscurities in the Qur??n, ?ad?ths and sayings of earlier Sufis. The resulting book, known as the Ibr?z, describes how al-Dabb?gh attained illumination and access to the Prophet, as well as his teachings about the Council of the godly that regulates the world, relations between master and disciple, the darkness in men’s bodies, Adam’s creation, Barzakh, Paradise and Hell, and much more besides. This ‘encyclopaedia’ of Sufism with its many teaching stories and illustrations provides a window onto social life and religious ideas in Fez a generation or so before powerful outside forces began to play a role in the radical transformation of Morocco.

Part memoir, part self-help this book is a recollection of life events-both professional and deeply personal that make up a crucial part of Bhatupe’s life journey so far. Taking us from her colourful childhood memories across african cities to her work life in Geneva and through many of her highs and lows, she is an open book within these pages and shares how one can handle being both vulnerable and strong. These stories prove that despite facing many challenges, the answers to a meaningful life can be found by reducing distractions and recharging your thoughts, your plans and your connections.
