Read Write Inc Phonics Handbook

This is the teacher's handbook introducing Read Write Inc. Phonics - a synthetic phonics reading scheme. It contains step-by-step guidance on implementing the programme, including teaching notes for lessons, assessment, timetables, matching charts and advice on classroom management and developing language comprehension through talk.

The Read Write Inc. Phonics Nursery Handbook includes everything you will need to start your nursery or pre-school children on their phonics journey.

This Handbook contains detailed teaching notes for teaching Speed Sounds Sets 1, 2 and 3, and for reading and writing lessons for the Red to Orange Storybooks, Non-fiction books and Get Writing! books. Guidance on assessment and timetabling is also included for easy implementation.

Handbook, which includes a CD-ROM. The Phonics Handbook includes guidance on implementing the Read Write Inc. programme.

The Phonics handbook introduces teachers to all the Read Write Inc resources for teaching reading, writing and spelling. It describes how to introduce the scheme into the school, how to assess and group the children, and how to progress them through the scheme at the best rate for each childor group. Blueprint lesson plans are provided for teaching the ditty activities, using the storybooks for reading and comprehension, and consolidating their children's knowledge through using the Get Writing books. Suggested timetables and instructions on partner work are also included.

The One-to-one Phonics Tutoring Handbook will support children who are in danger of falling behind with their reading, are behind their peers, or new to a school and need to catch up.Greater emphasis is placed on practice of Assisted blending for children who are struggling to move from reading isolated sounds to words.
