If one believes the French philosopher Gilles Deleuze, Alfred North Whitehead's work is one of the most important events in the exploration of the universes of thought in recent times. Process and Dipolar Reality takes up Whitehead's challenge to philosophy to regain its proper status, namely, an adventure in speculative thought elaborating a categoreal scheme aiming to be the coherent, conceptual framework within which every possible item of experience can be interpreted. Dipolarity, a whole with its parts, is seen as the fundamental principle all categories of the modified Scheme exhibit abstractly, and that every actuality concretely exemplifies from the minimally complex puffs of space to the unsurpassable, cosmically inclusive personal nexus. A whole is a unit of process creating a determination, a settled, unalterable state of affairs that only exists as the "privileged" part in the immediately successive whole that must also embrace other prior and contiguous neighboring beings. Among aspects of Whitehead's Scheme critically examined are his inability to explain how death of personal series is possible (given his belief that every whole that begins must end successfully), his theory of potentiality as eternal objects, his failure to be consistent applying his theory of change to the members of the greatest conceivable personal society, and his failure to consistently maintain the initial data for an actual entity come with their mutual relationships, making their "growing together" during concrescence superfluous.

Thinking about ultimate reality is becoming increasingly transreligious. This transreligious turn follows inevitably from the discovery of divine truths in multiple traditions. Global communications bring the full range of religious ideas and practices to anyone with access to the internet. Moreover, the growth of the nones and those who describe themselves as spiritual but not religious creates a pressing need for theological thinking not bound by prescribed doctrines and fixed rituals. This book responds to this vital need. The chapters in this volume each examine the claim that if the aim of theology is to know and articulate all we can about the divine reality, and if revelations, enlightenments, and insights into that reality are not limited to a single tradition, then what is called for is a theology without confessional restrictions. It also includes sympathetic critics who raise valid concerns that such a theology must face. Dragan Djurić looks at strategy tools from a process-ontological worldview as proposed by the Process Organization Studies discourse. Building on Wittgenstein’s later philosophy he understands science and management as language games thereby developing a view of strategy tools as objects with both an ontological and a symbolic function. This perspective is contrasted with the traditional understanding of strategy tools as ‘technologies of rationality’ as well as with the practice-based view of strategy tools as ‘boundary objects’.

Gathering 115 entries written by 101 internationally renowned experts in their fields, the Handbook of Whiteheadian Process Thought aims at canvassing the current state of knowledge in Whiteheadian scholarship and at identifying promising directions for future investigations through (internal) cross-elucidation and (external) interdisciplinary development. Two kinds of entries are weaved together in order to interpret Whitehead secundum Whitehead and to read him from the vantage point of interdisciplinary and crossdisciplinary research. The “thematic ” entries provide (i) a broad contextualisation of the issue at stake; (ii) a focus on Whitehead's treatment (if any) or of a possible Whiteheadian treatment of the issue; (iii) a history of relevant scholarship; (iv) a personal assessment by the Author. The “biographical ” entries provide (i) a brief vita of the targeted thinker; (ii) a sketch of his/her categories relevant to the Whiteheadian scholarship; (iii) a personal assessment of the actual (or possible) Whiteheadian semantic transfer to or from the thinker.
