Thomas Fury had a young wife, a child on the way, and a farm to tend. They had kept him busy; but he'd enjoyed the toil, for he knew that he was building a future for himself and his family. There was a time when Thomas Fury was happy. That future, though, was shattered one afternoon when five riders, led by Luke Marlow, rode in. Soon gunshots rang out and Thomas Fury's world fall apart. Now Fury rides the vengeance trail, driven on by a desire to deal out justice to those who have destroyed everything that mattered to him. Fury will not stop until every one of those five men lies dead in the ground, for then – and only then – will he reach the end of the Vengeance Trail.

In February, 1848, the war with Mexico ended. Terms of that treaty ceded most of the southwest of the North American continent to the United States. Shortly after, rumors of gold in California began to filter back to the United States. Many of the men who fought in the Mexican War began to drift south with dreams of fabulous wealth. Many of them came along the Gila River Trail from Texas Most came to work hard. Others decided to capitalize on the hard work of others. Still others brought west with them quarrels from the east that could only end in violence and death.

A homesteading family, consisting of a Mother, Father and their son Colt, have their quiet life interrupted with the arrival of a wounded bounty hunter, named Jeb. The mother removed two bullets and nurses him back to health. While recovering, he teaches the son the art of the fast draw with a six shooter. When the bounty hunter was fully recovered, he accompanied the son into town for supplies. On their return they find the cabin burnt, Mother dead and Father dying. Before the father takes his last breath, he describes the killers and gives the names he overheard. Colt, and the Bounty Hunter Jeb, team up, to go... On The Vengeance Trail.
