Three days before Christmas we find Kay and Madge weary from shopping. They stop at the department store's tearoom only to find they entered the wrong door and are, instead, in the office of the store's manager. The store Santa, tired and complaining, comes in and, without realizing it, releases a bit of the Christmas magic which affects each person in its own way. When carolers enter and sing gay carols they start this magic working on the women and they return to shopping with happy anticipation of the days ahead.

David Ward Jones has a huge imagination and sees things, not as they are, but as they could be, or as he believes they should be.
