First published in 1998, the aim of this catalogue is to help students, researchers and librarians determine the UK locations of over 2,000 music periodical titles held in public, academic and national libraries. Over 220 libraries in the UK have been surveyed, from St. Austell to Aberdeen, Aberystwyth to Brighton. Each catalogue entry provides detailed information on library holdings, and full bibliographic details of periodical titles, including ISSNs. The main catalogue is preceded by an address list, and by a preface outlining the history of music periodicals in Britain, together with statistical tables.

First Published in 2005. The Encyclopedia of Recorded Sound, 2nd edition, is an A to Z reference work covering the entire history of recorded sound from Edison discs to CDs and MP3. Entries range from technical terms (Acoustics; Back Tracking; Quadraphonic) to recording genres (blues, opera, spoken word) to histories of industry leaders and record labels to famed recording artists (focusing on their impact on recorded sound). Entries range in length from 25-word definitions of terms to 5000 word essays. Drawing on a panel of experts, the general editor has pulled together a wealth of information. This innovative survey of large choral-orchestral works is a continuation of the author's previous study of twentieth century works with English texts. Green examines nearly one hundred works, from Rachmaninov's Vesna to Penderecki's Song of Songs. For each work, he provides a biography of the composer, complete instrumentation, text sources, editions, availability of performing materials, performance issues, discography, and bibliography of the composer and the work. Based upon direct score study, each work has been evaluated in terms of potential performance problems, rehearsal issues, and level of difficulty for both the choir and orchestra.
