This is a great pattern for anyone who has limited knitting experience. If you know how to purl, knit, K2tog, M1 and Cast on, this pattern should be no problem. This is the extra thick version of my very popular Moccasin Slippers with a Cuff pattern. People had requested that this be made into an extra thick version to wear longer and knit up quicker. So I did. You can use either a double strand of worsted weight yarn OR one strand of super bulky yarn to make them. And you can make them from a woman’s size 6 to a man’s size 14. The pattern is knitted on 2 (two) sets of single pointed needles, but don’t worry. I’ve provided a bunch of photos to show you how to do this. It sounds more complicated than it really is. I really enjoy making this style of knitted slipper. I’ve found that many people like a slipper that fits a bit more snuggly and has a cuff to help keep the slipper on the foot. It adds to the coziness and security. The pattern is knitted with worsted weight yarn on one set of single pointed needles and a set of 4 double pointed needles (DPN’s). But don’t worry! I’ve provided a bunch of QR codes and links to YouTube videos that will help you along with the trickier parts like picking up the heel and cuff. Awesome cozy slippers with a delightful cable owl motif. The inspiration came to me while scrolling through the wonders of the internet and stumbling on slippers that were made in one piece on circular needles, but back and forth. I couldn't for the life of me figure it out, the pattern wasn't in English, so I decided to design my own! I came up with a very basic design, but then was inspired to make the top of the toe something special. I loved the look of a knitted cable owl on hats, mitts and scarves and next thing you know, this pattern was born! The pattern itself will make slipper for women's sizes 6-13 and men's sizes 5-12. Please take note, this is not a pattern for beginners. I used a very different technique involving 2 sets of single pointed needles.
