For decades, I have been involved in practicing and teaching Spiritual Warfare. When God first called me into this ministry in the early 1980’s, I was unsure of whether I should engage with this as the subject terrified me and I had previously avoided it. God’s call to me to enter into this type of service was clear, so I began to research the subject. All I could find then, and now, were mostly books regaling the reader with horrific accounts of terrible demonic encounters. There was little or nothing in most of the books on “How To” deal with demonic forces and their influence in the world. I must acknowledge that there have been some very good material created on this topic by others, but this is not the norm. My purpose in writing this book is to provide a guide on how to address and defeat the work of Satan, the enemy of our souls, that we see all around us and to help prepare Christians for the work they will be required to do as we progress through the End Time Events. I hope this book will replace despair with faith in the power of Jesus Christ at work in the lives of His followers. Spiritual Warfare is an absolutely critical component in the life of Christians living in the End Times (as I believe we are). I believe my book to be a great reference and resource work for you that can serve you well as you enter into your own Spiritual Warfare efforts.

Eli Monpress is clever, he's determined, and he's in way over his head. First rule of thievery: don't be a hero. When Eli broke the rules and saved the Council Kingdoms, he thought he knew the price, but resuming his place as the Shepherdess's favorite isn't as simple as bowing his head. Now that she has her darling back, Benehime is setting in motion a plan that could destroy everything she was created to protect, and even Eli's charm might not be enough to stop her. But Eli Monpress always has a plan, and with disaster rapidly approaching, he's pulling in every favor he can think of to make it work, including the grudging help of the Spirit Court's new Rector, Miranda Lyonette. But with the world in panic, the demon stirring, and the Lord of Storms back on the hunt, it's going to take more than luck and charm to pull Eli through this time. He's going to have to break a few more rules and work with some old enemies if he's going to survive.

• Mongolian shamaness Sarangerel provides a hands-on guide for serious students of the shamanic path. • Includes complete directions for traditional Siberian rituals, meditations, and divination techniques never before published. • Shows how to recognize and acknowledge a call from the spirits. • Offers traditional wisdom for nurturing a working relationship with personal spirit helpers to promote healing and balance in a community. The shaman's purpose is to heal and restore balance to his or her community by developing a working relationship with the spirit world. Mongolian shamanic tradition maintains that all true shamans are called by the spirits--but those who are not from shamanic cultures may have difficulty recognizing the call or nurturing the essential shamanic relationship with their helper spirits. Buryat shamaness Sarangerel has written Chosen by the Spirits as a guide for both the beginning shaman and the advanced practitioner. Although raised in the United States, she was drawn to the shamanic tradition, and in 1991 returned to her ancestral homeland in the Tunken region of southern Siberia to study with traditional Buryat shamans. Her first book, Riding Windhorses, provided an introduction to the shamanic world of Siberia. Chosen by the Spirits delves more deeply into the personal relationship between the shamanic student and his or her "spirit family." Sarangerel recounts her own journey into shamanic practice and provides the serious student with practical advice and hands-on techniques for recognizing and acknowledging a shamanic calling, welcoming and embodying the spirits, journeying to the spirit world, and healing both people and places.

Zanzibar, an island off the East African coast, with its Muslim and Swahili population, offers rich material for this study of identity, religion, and multiculturalism. This book focuses on the phenomenon of spirit possession in Zanzibar Town and the relationships created between humans and spirits; it provides a way to apprehend how society is constituted and conceived and, thus, discusses Zanzibari understandings of what it means to be human.
