National Parks here and abroad have an unusual number of strange, scary, and weird activities going on. It may be because these areas cover some of the most hidden and still natural and undisturbed locations in the world. These parks offer undisturbed areas where man does not intrude normally, and many activities can be hidden there. The stories in this book are mostly by Park Rangers who spent years in the outback of these parks and tell of their unusual and sometimes very scary experiences. I’ve divided up these stories mainly by types like missing persons, Bigfoot sightings, Aliens and UFOs, and more. Some experiences are so weird or unusual they were hard to categorize so they are in the chapter titled “Random Stories”. From my own experiences camping the wilderness I know that you need to be prepared for the unexpected. All of these stories were reported as true-but who is to say what the real truth is?

The stunning mountains of Virginia offer spectacular views and endless outdoor activities, yet they also hold secrets. A nineteenth-century cache of gold is buried in the hills. Nine-foot giants once walked the ridges, pre-Columbian explorers built homes on isolated mountaintops and a ghost town lies deep in the Jefferson National Forest. The mountains conceal canines that walk upright, black panthers and a resurgent mountain lion population. The hide-and-seek champion of the world, Bigfoot, lurks in the dark hollows, phantom dogs pace the back roads and aggressive monkeys swing through the trees. UFOs crisscross the skies, and ghosts haunt the caverns below. Join Denver Michaels, local author and explorer of the unexplained, as he explores these mysteries and many more.

There are a lot of books written on the topic of visualization. Mine is a little different. As an engineer and experiencer of many paranormal events I’ve got a different perspective enabled by my research and experience. There are many subjects I’ve studied that indicate that the mind really can affect our reality. In this book I will review why my research and experience says that visualization really works and some lessons on how to do it. The Reality we live in is much more malleable than we think and so why not set our goals and purposes to get that reality to work the way we want it? Techniques included in this book include various visualization techniques and building your own vision board.

Ghosts! Curses! Hoaxes! Unsolved mysteries! Paranormal events! Take a walk on the creepy side of North America's National Parks! Andrea Lankford, a 12-year veteran ranger with the National Park Service, has written a thoroughly investigated yet often tongue-in-cheek guidebook that takes the reader to the scariest, most mysterious places inside North America's National Parks. Lankford shares such eerie tales as John Brown's haunting of Harper's Ferry, the disembodied legs that have been seen running around inside the Mammoth Cave Visitor Center, and the "wailing woman" who roams the trail behind the Grand Canyon Lodge. Lankford also uncovers paranormal activities park visitors have experienced, such as the chupacabra that roams the swamps inside Big Thicket National Preserve and the teenage bigfoot who rolled a park service campground with toilet paper. She also reports on long-forgotten unsolved murders, such as the savage stabbing of a young woman on Yosemite's trail to Mirror Lake, and the execution style shooting of two General Motors executives at Crater Lake. The witnesses to the supernatural occurrences are highly credible people-rangers, park historians, river guides, and the like-and each tale has factual relevance to the cultural or natural history of the park. Haunted Hikes provides readers with all the information they need: for each hike: a "fright factor rating" is listed along with trailhead access information, detailed trail maps, and hike difficulty levels. Most of the haunted sites included in the book can be reached by the average hiker, some are wheelchair accessible, and others are for intrepid backpackers willing to make multi-day treks into wilderness areas. Intriguing photographs of many sites are included. Haunted Hikes is sure to satisfy readers looking for those spine-tingling moments when you begin to wonder if maybe, just maybe, we are not alone.

Most of my books on Aliens and UFOs are about evidence of them existing on Earth. However, there are also many unusual sightings in space which is the subject of this book. These sightings cover the following locations: UFOs flying around the International Space Station Bases and UFOs on the Moon Strange sightings on Mars taken by our Martian rovers. In deep space elsewhere in the Solar System These pictures may or may not be real alien life or UFO technologies, but they are fascinating none the less. Some of the sightings like the face in Cydonia are just a result of our natural abilities to see living forms in many types of pictures. But some may turn out to be real phenomena. Certainly, some of these sightings can’t be anything other than real UFOs. If you want to learn about strange sightings in the Solar System outside of Earth, then this book is for you.
