The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1989, volume 4, contains messages given by Brother Witness Lee from May 19, 1989, through January 4, 1991. In the middle of May 1989 Brother Lee returned to Anaheim, California, after spending more than two months in the Far East. At the end of the third week in May Brother Lee visited Cleveland, Ohio, and Newton and Cambridge, Massachusetts, until the end of the first week in June. At that time he returned to Anaheim and remained there until the end of 1989. The contents of this volume are divided into eight sections, as follows: 1. Sixteen messages given in Anaheim, California; Cleveland, Ohio; and Newton, Massachusetts, on May 19 through June 6, 1989. These messages were previously published in a ten-chapter book entitled The Advance of the Lord's Recovery Today and are included in this volume under the same title. 2. Two messages given in Anaheim, California, on July 8 and 9, 1989. These messages were previously published in a three-chapter book entitled A Summary of the Study of the New Testament Way of Christian Service and are included in this volume under the same title. Chapters 2 and 3 of this section also appear as chapters 10 and 11 in Elders' Training, Book 9: The Eldership and the God-ordained Way (1), which is included in The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1986, volume 3. 3. The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1985, volume 4, contains messages and fellowship given by Brother Witness Lee on October 4 through December 8, 1985. At the beginning of October Brother Lee traveled to Taipei, Taiwan, and ministered there until the first week of December. During this period he visited Singapore and Manila, Philippines, for about one week. The contents of this volume are divided into six sections, as follows: 1. Ten messages given in Taipei, Taiwan, on October 4 through November 6. These messages were previously published in Chinese in a book entitled The Supply of the Word and the Increase of the Church. They were translated into English and are included in this volume under the same title. 2. Five messages given in Taipei, Taiwan, on October 7 through 11. These messages were previously published in Chinese and English in a book entitled The Full Knowledge of the Word of God. They are included in this volume under the same title. 3. Five messages given in Taipei, Taiwan, on October 7 through 11. These messages were previously published in Chinese and English in a book entitled Everyone Speaking the Word of God. They are included in this volume under the same title. 4. Five messages given in Taipei, Taiwan, on October 7 through 11. These messages were previously published in Chinese and English in a book entitled Meeting to Speak the Word of God. They are included in this volume under the same title. 5. The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1990, volume 2, contains messages given by Brother Witness Lee from February 10 through December 21, 1990. During the first three months of 1990 Brother Lee was in Anaheim, California. In early April he traveled to Taipei, Taiwan, and at the end of that month he visited Hualien, Taiwan. He returned to Anaheim in the first part of May and remained there until the end of the third week in August. During that time he visited Long Beach, California. At the end of August Brother Lee visited San Francisco, San Jose, and Berkeley, California. In early September he returned to Anaheim and remained there until the middle of October. During that period he briefly visited San Diego and San Bernardino, California. In the middle of October Brother Lee traveled to the Far East and remained there until the first part of November. During that period he visited Taipei and then Kota Kinabalu, Sibu, Kuching, and Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. In the middle of November he returned to Anaheim and remained there until the end of the year. The contents of this volume are divided into fifteen sections, as follows: 1. Eight messages given in Anaheim, California, on February 10 through May 19. These messages were previously published in a book entitled The Practice of the Group Meetings and are included in this volume under the same title. 2. Four messages given in Anaheim, California, on March 9 and 10. The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1988, volume 4, contains messages given by Brother Witness Lee from October 8, 1988, through January 29, 1989. In early October 1988 Brother Lee visited Taipei, Taiwan, for one month before traveling to Seoul, South Korea, and then back to Taipei, where he remained until the middle of November. He then returned to Anaheim, California, and remained there until the middle of December. During his time in Anaheim he also ministered in Pasadena, San Gabriel, and Monterey Park, California. In mid-December he traveled to Irving, Texas, and remained there through the early days of January 1989. The contents of this volume are divided into seventeen sections, as follows: 1. The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1991-1992, volume 1, contains messages given by Brother Witness Lee from January 3 through December 17, 1991. In 1991 and 1992 Brother Lee spoke one hundred sixty-two messages that were published in the Life-study of Job, Life-study of the Psalms, Life-study of Isaiah, Life-study of Jeremiah, Life-study of Lamentations, Life-study of Daniel, Life-study of Hosea, Life-study of Joel, Life-study of Amos, Life-study of Obadiah, Life-study of Jonah, Life-study of Micah, Life-study of Nahum, Life-study of Habakkuk, Life-study of Zephaniah, Life-study of Haggai, Life-study of Zechariah, and Life-study of Malachi. These messages are not included in The Collected Works of Witness Lee. From January through August 1991, Brother Lee was in Anaheim, California. During that period he visited Los Angeles and Alhambra, California, in April. At the end of August he traveled to Berkeley, California. In early September he returned to Anaheim and remained there until the end of November. During that time he visited Huntington Beach, California. At the end of November Brother Lee traveled to Reston, Virginia, for the Thanksgiving weekend conference. In early December he returned to Anaheim and remained there until the end of the year. The contents of this volume are divided into ten sections, as follows: 1. Two messages given in Anaheim, California, on January 3 and 4. These messages were previously published in a book entitled The God-ordained Way and the Eldership. At the end of the first week in March Brother Lee traveled to Taipei, Taiwan, and remained there until the end of the third week in March. He then visited Quezon City, Philippines, and Taichung and Kaohsiung, Taiwan, before returning to Taipei at the beginning of April. He remained in Taipei until the end of the third week in April and then visited Seoul, South Korea, and Tokyo, Japan, before returning to Anaheim, California, in the middle of May.
