The Deities Prophecy Two deities, one the rightful creator of the world-known as the Land, the other, who believes the Land should have always been his. Then, an ancient book of prophecy comes to light which could tip the scales in the other's favor leading to the decreation of the world and its people, to a new creation brought about the other deity. With time working against them to determine which deity will gain control; the prophecy will lead our heroes consisting of two wizards, Alistarr and Marcus, along with a full ship crew across the Great Sea to a remote island where the prophecy will be settled. However, first, they must work their way through nightmarish creatures, and an insane warlock that is determined to let time run out.

Grounded in direct, systematic observation by neutral observers, Talking with the Children of God is a unique study of the radical religious movement now known as The Family International. The book draws on extraordinarily candid interviews with the group's leaders and administrative staff. In revealing new information about the organization's history, beliefs, and use of prophecy, Gordon Shepherd and Gary Shepherd offer a highly detailed case study that is both an antidote to sensationalized coverage of the group and a means for understanding the transformational practices of new religious movements in general. One of the most controversial groups emerging from the Jesus People movement of the 1960s, the Family originally was known as The Children of God. Under leader David Berg, members proclaimed an apocalyptic "Endtime," shunned secular occupations, lived communally, and adopted unusual sexual practices that led to abuse scandals in the 1970s and 1980s. Following Berg's death in 1994, the organization began to dramatically alter its evangelization efforts and decision-making processes. The author discloses the history and uses of an obscure ancient divination tool, which she writes is the only authorized form of divination in the Bible. Dr. Kaehr explores the origins of this method and teaches readers how they can search for these materials and work with them.

Since the 1990s there has been an emphasis on the study of ancient Israelite prophecy in its ancient Near East context. Prophecy in the Ancient Near East is the first book-length study that compares prophecy in the ancient Near East by focusing on texts from Mari, the Neo-Assyrian State Archives, and the Hebrew Bible.
