If your influence only lasts as long as you do, you failed. This book will help you reach your full potential, inspire greatness in your spouse, children, and friends, and leave a legacy that lasts beyond your lifetime. True influence should increase through the lives of those you have poured into, even after you pass away. Our greatest example of this is Jesus. His followers did greater works after He left them. Jesus never wrote a book or traveled outside of Israel, but He was able to use a band of eleven followers to create the largest, most influential movement the world has ever seen. Jesus had no servants, yet they called Him Master. He had no degree, yet they called Him Teacher. He had no medicines, yet they called Him Healer. He had no army, yet kings feared Him. He won no military battles, yet He conquered the world. He committed no crime, yet they crucified Him. He was buried in a tomb, yet He lives today. In The Jesus Principles, Joseph Mattera helps you unleash greatness in yourself, but even more importantly, in your circle of influence—your spouse, children, friends, and family. Following Jesus’ example, you will be empowered to leave a legacy of helping others fulfill their own potential so that after you have passed, you are still speaking! Become part of a great cloud of witnesses who help to unleash human potential in one another. The four Gospels are not only compilations of important moral and spiritual sayings, but they also contain principles that can enable us to move from potential to fulfillment of purpose.

A classic revisited--revised and expanded. For over twenty-five years, Howard Snyder's Community of the King has set the standard for a penetrating look at the relationship between the kingdom of God and the earthly church. Biblically and practically Snyder helps us think through such crucial questions as What is the kingdom of God? What role does it play in history? What does it mean for the church to be an agent of the kingdom? Once we grasp the nature of the kingdom, Snyder helps us explore its implications for the church as we experience it in daily life. The church, he argues, is part of God's dramatic plan to reconcile all things to himself. The church that is true to its calling will emphasize the God-given gifts of all its members and develop structures and strategies that reflect God's reign in the world. In addition to a completely new chapter on developments in Christian thinking on the church since its first publication, this new edition of Community of the King contains a fully updated bibliography and is revised throughout. Here is a classic book for all concerned with church life and growth.

It has been estimated that most Christians pray three to five minutes a day. Compare that to the time many spend complaining, and you’ll gain insight into the spiritual and emotional condition of our day. Yet God has constructed the world in such a way that there is much He won’t do in a Christian’s life apart from prayer. Prayer, when combined with faith, can accomplish great things. In this practical and comprehensive overview of prayer, Tony Evans covers a variety of topics, including: Principles of productive prayer The power of prayer and praise Fasting and prayer Prayer and God's purposes Tony’s expositions of various passages on prayer will help you realize its critical importance and encourage you to make it a dominant mark of your life.

Over the last twenty years, I have composed a catalog of prayers for people from all walks of life. They are spread throughout my various teachings and writings. Countless people have requested these prayers to be compiled and placed in one book. This book is filled with specific prayers for issues common to mankind. Some prayers many people know to pray, and others may not be as familiar. Prayer alone is not enough in so much as, God expects us to be proactive. For example, if we're praying for self-discipline, it won't just fall upon our heads. We must purpose in our hearts and minds to be self-disciplined. We must make better choices. Prayers must coincide with action. Understanding Kingdom Prayer includes 100+ template prayers to serve as a guide for practical application. You will, of course, want to pray according to the leading of Holy Spirit, but this is a template of how to properly apply the Scriptures. With any of God's promises, the idea is to proclaim, declare, and decree those promises over situations instead of asking for God to do this or that. If He's already promised, asking is not required. Rather, we are to apply and stand in faith in His provision and resolve. Praising and thanking God is first and foremost in prayer. We ought never to be a people always asking or using His Kingdom power and authority without first thanking Him for being who and how He is-loving, merciful, gracious, kind, patient, sovereign, omniscient, omnipresent, and omnipotent. Although I didn't write words of praise at the beginning of each prayer, praising must come first according to Matthew 6:9. After praising the Lord, the succeeding prayer should follow. Never neglect thanksgiving of God's grace and mercy. This must come solely from your authentic heart of contrition.

New York Times bestseller What is Jesus worth to you? It's easy for American Christians to forget how Jesus said his followers would actually live, what their new lifestyle would actually look like. They would, he said, leave behind security, money, convenience, even family for him. They would abandon everything for the gospel. They would take up their crosses daily... But who do you know who lives like that? Do you? In Radical, David Platt challenges you to consider with an open heart how we have manipulated the gospel to fit our cultural preferences. He shows what Jesus actually said about being his disciple--then invites you to believe and obey what you have heard. And he tells the dramatic story of what is happening as a "successful" suburban church decides to get serious about the gospel according to Jesus. Finally, he urges you to join in The Radical Experiment -- a one-year journey in authentic discipleship that will transform how you live in a world that desperately needs the Good News Jesus came to bring.
