The International Community should be advised that the Hamas governance of Gaza is in dispute - since the Hamas government is like a lost puppy - being responsible for violent extremism, political corruption and blatant human rights violations in Palestine. Also, Hamas has billions of dollars in investments in many countries, while people in Gaza starve to death. Hence it is imperative that peace and prosperity are manifested in Palestine; and that all parties start working towards a just and fair Middle East peace plan - so that the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) and the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) can be manifested. It is equally important that the Bennett-Lapid government is fair and just; and that policies implemented are free from systemic injustices, so that equal rights and legal equality can be manifested in the land. After 15 years of siege the 2 million people of Gaza, living packed on a tiny strip find themselves without work, their economy killed off and without the bare essentials for decent life. The siege is fracturing minds, pushing the most sensitive and vulnerable to suicide in numbers never seen before; such as the suicide of Mohanned Younis, a 22-year-old student in Gaza, being symbolic of the misery and despair of the siege. Hence the blockade of the Gaza Strip must finally go. This also means that Hamas's extremist leaders - in particular Mr. Ismail Haniyeh, Mohammed Deif and Marwan Issa - need to reconcile and make peace with Israel. Otherwise the Gazans must find a new leadership, so that the Gaza blockade can finally be lifted, and the UDHR and can be manifested in the land. It is also essential that freedom of press, media freedom and rule of law prevails in Palestine, and that individuals and organizations - such as Hamas and Fatah - responsible for the killing of journalists and human rights activists are brought to justice. The International Community is advised to keep a safe distance from the Hamas and Fatah organisations; until they have agreed to improve themselves - by working together with the Bennett-Lapid government; so that equal rights can be manifested in the land, and the Gaza blockade can finally be lifted. To avoid a power vacuum in Israel-Palestine - in particular Gaza, the West Bank and Jerusalem - the NGO BTB-Global Peacebuilding will be handling matters in the meantime - such as domestic policy, foreign policy and human rights issues in Israel-Palestine.

The yearly volumes of Censored, in continuous publication since 1976 and since 1995 available through Seven Stories Press, is dedicated to the stories that ought to be top features on the nightly news, but that are missing because of media bias and self-censorship. The top stories are listed democratically in order of importance according to students, faculty, and a national panel of judges. Each of the top stories is presented at length, alongside updates from the investigative reporters who broke the stories.

Mary Eberstadt, “one of the most acute and creative social observers of our time,” (Francis Fukuyama) shines a much-needed spotlight on a disturbing trend in American society: discrimination against traditional religious belief and believers, who are being aggressively pushed out of public life by the concerted efforts of militant secularists. In It’s Dangerous to Believe, Mary Eberstadt documents how people of faith—especially Christians who adhere to traditional religious beliefs—face widespread discrimination in today’s increasingly secular society. Eberstadt details how recent laws, court decisions, and intimidation on campuses and elsewhere threaten believers who fear losing their jobs, their communities, and their basic freedoms solely because of their convictions. They fear that their religious universities and colleges will capitulate to aggressive secularist demands. They fear that they and their families will be ostracized or will have to lose their religion because of mounting social and financial penalties for believing. They fear they won’t be able to maintain charitable operations that help the sick and feed the hungry. Is this what we want for our country? Religious freedom is a fundamental right, enshrined in the First Amendment. With It’s Dangerous to Believe Eberstadt calls attention to this growing bigotry and seeks to open the minds of secular liberals whose otherwise good intentions are transforming them into modern inquisitors. Not until these progressives live up to their own standards of tolerance and diversity, she reminds us, can we build the inclusive society America was meant to be.
