The National Guide To Educational Credit For Training Programs

A source for higher education administrators who grant credit to students for learning acquired in noncollegiate settings. This edition describes over 6000 courses provided by businesses, labour unions, schools, training suppliers, professional and voluntary associations, and government agencies.

More than 5,000 high-quality education programs conducted by businesses, labor unions, professional and voluntary associations, and government agencies are described in this updated edition. Each entry in The National Guide provides course title, location, length, dates, objective, anticipated learning outcomes, and the teaching methods, materials, equipment, and major subject areas covered. College credit recommendations are given in four categories, expressed in semester hours and subject area(s) in which credit might be applied. Introductory materials include a description of the evaluation process, guidelines for users in colleges and universities, questions and answers for counselors and advisors of adult students, specific instructions on using the guide, and information on the Registry of Credit Recommendations, an ACE College Credit Recommendation Service transcript system.
