The present framing of the cultural debate in terms of materialism versus religion has allowed materialism to go unchallenged as the only rationally-viable metaphysics. This book seeks to change this. It uncovers the absurd implications of materialism and then, uniquely, presents a hard-nosed non-materialist metaphysics substantiated by skepticism, hard empirical evidence, and clear logical argumentation. It lays out a coherent framework upon which one can interpret and make sense of every natural phenomenon and physical law, as well as the modalities of human consciousness, without materialist assumptions. According to this framework, the brain is merely the image of a self-localization process of mind, analogously to how a whirlpool is the image of a self-localization process of water. The brain doesn’t generate mind in the same way that a whirlpool doesn’t generate water. It is the brain that is in mind, not mind in the brain. Physical death is merely a de-clenching of awareness. This book is not merely about metaphysics; it is an essay in metaphysics. Furthermore, it is written in the firm conviction that metaphysics is possible and meaningful metaphysical statements can and should be made. However, I felt it necessary to approach the perennial problems of metaphysics through the avenues of linguistic analysis. I have tried not only to infiltrate the position of the linguists but to show that a fifth column already existed there. Yet the objections to metaphysics needed to be met or at least some indication of how they could be met had to be shown. It is never enough to demonstrate that objections are un founded - some positive indications of a possible metaphysics had to be offered. This book, as a consequence, tries also to draw at least in broad outline, a metaphysical position that seems to me to be well-founded. In the present state of philoso phy in the United States especially, this is sufficient reason for publishing another book in philosophy. I want to express my appreciation to a number of people. This book is equally suited to expert Leibnizians as to students of Early Modern philosophy; and it may be read with profit by anyone interested in this thinker, whom Bertrand Russell called â oeone of the supreme intellects of all timeâ .

In contrast to what is presently imagined, reality is the aggregate of everything genuine within a structure. The phrase (the nature of reality) can also refer to an element's ontological condition, which indicates its presence. The reality in scientific terms is the sum of a phenomenon, known and unknown. Ontology, a prominent field of metaphysics in the Western philosophical background, is concerned with philosophical inquiries about the nature of reality and self-existence. Ontological challenges are also addressed in several disciplines of philosophy, such as philosophy of science, philosophy of mathematics, philosophy of religion, and philosophy of logic. "Perceptions, opinions, and dispositions toward reality" is a common colloquial expression. It is frequently used merely as a colloquialism to indicate that the participants in discourse consent should comply or should not argue about radically divergent views of reality. All elements, conditions (physical and mental), happenings (past and present), and manifestations, whether observable or not, comprise reality.

This is a book that spans several topics that are assigned as a chapter. These topics include my philosophy on existence, human existence, and the ultimate realm of reality, as well as on energy and matter, dimension, motion, time and space, the natural world, education, politics, religion, athletics, economics, ethics, perception and actuality, and so on. Many of the ideas, principles, and theories are not radically new, yet I hope that my presentation of them can provide some perspectives that you may have not considered, which in turn can help you broaden your awareness and inspire a more dynamic and enthusiastic pursuit on the deeper meanings of both experience and imagination. This book, as such you could say, is a basic scientific but mostly philosophic summation of what I have learned through my current lifetime of study and contemplation.
