In Ancient Egypt, the serpent is associated with immortality, and the gods in the Old and Middle Kingdom periods in Egyptian mythology. A snake was depicted on tombs carrying the Pharaoh off into the sky, to the land of the gods. The snake came to be a symbol of kingship around this time and appeared on the headdress of the Pharaohs. William Ricketts Cooper(1843-1878) was a British writer. He was initially a designer of carpet patterns, then a London missionary, and finally a student of Egyptian antiquities, to which he devoted the rest of his short life. He was one of the principal originators in 1870 of the Society of Biblical Archæology, of which he was the active and zealous secretary from its foundation until delicate health compelled him in 1876 to retire to Ventnor, where he died two years later. In, The Serpent Myths of Ancient Egypt, William Ricketts Cooper focuses on the serpent myth and ideology in Ancient Egypt. The author explored the serpent symbolism in Ancient Egypt and showed its relation to Christianity. The author focused his study on ancient Egypt's serpent myth and ideology and how it applies to the Ritual of the Dead. He supports his analysis with extensive illustrations showing different aspects of the serpent. An appendix is included, and a list of names of serpents and serpent deities. This is an essential book that every serious ancient alien theorist should read. Please copy and paste the link for our books: https: //saucerianbooks.blogspot.com/

In The Serpent Myths of Ancient Egypt, William Ricketts Cooper focuses on the serpent myth and ideology in ancient Egypt and how it applies to the Ritual of the Dead. He supports his study with copious illustrations showing the two aspects of the serpent: protector and destroyer. A group discussion with the themes of the serpent in history and myths of other cultures is included in the appendix, as well as lists of names of serpents and serpent deities and their epithets applied in the Ritual of the Dead. Through this exploration of the serpent symbolism in ancient Egypt, we are also shown intimations of the coming Christian age.
