This is a companion to Educating Stone. It is not a volume two or a sequel but a companion. Both works of fiction stand-alone but if you first read Educating Stone this companion book will make a little more sense to you, particularly the sequels. A few of Bettis favorite blogs from Educating Stone are re-presented for further enjoyment. In this second book of novel poetry I am using strike through as a means to display an alternative thought to a poem. Perhaps the stricken line is presented as a subjectively better line or perhaps the stricken line may be the first thought but not the best thought. Maybe the stricken line is the best way to write a second meaning to the poem so that the reader benefits from both meanings. This is a novel poetry idea. not a mainstream idea. The use of parentheses does not create the subtleness of meaning that I wish to convey to the reader. There is one poem called Beige Love where the strike through conveys past, gone, removed: deleted. I also use emoticons J sparingly in just a few poems where I think it helps convey a thought. The first set of books that I have written contains the novel: Gunplay: Beauty Redeemed and the companion book of poetry: Bettis Blog: Beyond Beauty Redeemed. All four books feature Betti in her garden in Phoenix. Please note that all characters appearing in this work are fictitious. Any resemblance to real persons, living or dead is purely coincidental. All references to street addresses, phone numbers and websites are fictitious. Any resemblances to any of these are purely coincidental. In addition to Bettis Blog, there are other poems of a wide range of subjects. I hope that you enjoy Bettis Blog Beyond Stone.

Kevin A. Codd’s previous book, To the Field of Stars, has been hailed as a contemporary classic of pilgrim literature and introduced a fresh voice to the world of both travel and spiritual writing. In Beyond Even the Stars, the reader is invited to join this peripatetic American priest as he takes up the Way to Compostela, this time in Leuven, Belgium, and follows it south through much of France. His vivid descriptions of the natural world and the people he meets along the way are delightful, just as his profound reflections on life and death, love and faith, God and grace, are inspiring.

An in-depth look at the powerful story and symbolism behind God's unique design of our universe. Thousands of words have been written about the first ten words in the Bible: "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth," a simple and profound statement that has ignited a firestorm of debate and controversy. People often only focus on the "how" and "when" of creation, but Story in the Stars explores the "why." Why did God create such a vast universe? Why did He choose the sun and moon to light our paths? Why did He design images with stars in the night sky? The Bible is very clear when it states that God created, named, and positioned all of the stars of the universe in their place in a very specific way-a way that tells us the greatest story ever to be told. In Luke 21:25 Jesus says, "There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars." Signs are meant to point us towards something: Jesus. Story in the Stars takes an in-depth look at the Bible and all the signs God mapped out through constellations, planets, and even the way the Earth is tilted. We are uniquely designed by God, and He loves us so much that He ensured a way for all inhabitants of the earth, through all of time, to see the messages of salvation and redemption that He painted in the stars.
