The Toff Breaks In

The Honourable Richard Rollison, (aka ‘The Toff’) is once again on the cricket field, indulging in one of his favourite pastimes, when he is called away. A girl has been kidnapped and her life is in danger. He has to find a way through hidden secrets from a grim past in order to solve this series of crimes.

Whilst returning home from a cricket match at his father's country home, the Honourable Richard Rollison - alias The Toff - comes across an accident which proves to be a mystery. As he delves deeper into the matter with his usual perseverance and thoroughness , murder and suspense form the backdrop to a fast moving and exciting adventure.

The Toff is in disguise as a helper at a holiday camp in order to investigate the mysterious disappearance of three male entertainers. The mystery deepens as hidden money is found and fights break out and then murder. The Toff finds himself embroiled in a much bigger plot than anyone imagined, leading to a fitting climax at a local airfield.

Sheila is angry when Richard Rollison (aka ‘The Toff’) is reluctant to help. Her friend Danny has been arrested, but she proclaims his innocence. When Rollison meets Danny he hostile and doesn’t want anything to do with Sheila. Thus begins a mystery which inevitably sees Rollison drawn into danger – but this time from a very unusual source.

Rose Mary Bell is missing. She is a top model who works for Hugo Zana, a renowned clothes designer. Other models appear to be inexplicably leaving. The girls are being threatened and a ‘Mr. Smith’ will seemingly stop at nothing, including murder, to harm Zana's reputation. It is a complex case worthy of ‘The Toff’s’ very particular talents.

Two puzzling seemingly unconnected cases are presented to ‘The Toff’, with requests for help. Isabel Cole’s fiancée is accused of murder and Cedric Dwight is being pursued by a gang of hoodlums. Both are urgent and complex cases and it seems that he will have to choose between them. There is absolutely no connection between the cases and yet ....

The Honourable Richard Rollison (aka ‘The Toff’) finds that his aunt has invested a large sum of money in a fortune-teller named ‘Madame Melinska’. It is clearly a racket, and he believes it is a bit too close to home and sets off to investigate. Little does he realise the danger involved, and that there is much more at stake – including murder!

Richard Rollison, otherwise known as the Toff, has become lethargic. Aunt Gloria arranges a birthday party to cheer him up, but it ends in disaster as one of his souvenirs - a tube of arsenic - disappears, with the contents later re-appearing in the ice-cream. The Toff is spurred into action to solve one of his most difficult cases ever.
