The word is now thoroughly established, and it has the advantage of being free from any reference to the labour movement such as, for historical reasons, still clings to the phrase, the combination movement To award praise or blame in the moral sense for the operations of trade in no way falls within the Scope of this book, whose only object is to detail, with as little bias as possible, as many facts as could be ascertained in relation to the modern organisation of industry.
