There are things that captivate us: fresh grass, the chill after a downpour, a beam of light where specs of dust dance and play, porcelain figurines, photographs, and the breeze that scatters the tiny pods of a dandelion, blowing them higher and higher. Even though poetry is sometimes short and may seem rough, poetry is always gentle. And for poets, although they can be lyrical, they can also be very sincere. In the poem New York of Lorca, one can find sincerity - the kind described by Alejandra Pizarnik - for behind the violins, solitude and silence, the truth, the everlasting semantics of the poem, lifts a tree from the ground before the reader. In Saily Fuentes poetry, one can find the gentleness like those first described. It is poetry that, although still young, are wrapped in the tulles of faith and nostalgia. One must surrender himself to her poems, and find oneself in the freedom of their rhymes. Turn to the discovery of the hope that this new voice subtly presents to us.

"Birthday party" is a suspense thriller about the threat and incursion into our country's ideologies by an extremist group intent on inflicting maximum casualties and damage to our nation's icons of liberty and freedoms during our Fourth of July celebrations. In Seattle, the threat is met by a coalition of the Seattle police department, numerous other government agencies and citizen involvement. Captain Harry Snyder, S.P.D., and his cadre of police officers unite with the government lawmen, the United States military and, together with many brave citizens, clash head to head with those ruthless, hostile forces. It is a classic tale of terror and mayhem versus law and order, of good versus evil. With many subplots, twists and turns, the characters in the book become heroic individuals who meet and defeat this impending danger. It reaches an exciting, dramatic conclusion in an epic battle on the top of the space needle. Only one survives.

If God is present everywhere, he sees all things, and knows all things. He knows every grain of sand on the earth. He sees the tops of the mountains, and the depths of the sea. he knows every flower in the fields, every tree in the forests, every creeping thing, and every beast on the face of the earth. He knows every fish that swims in the water, and every bird that flies in the air—he knows every star in the skies. God knows every angel in Heaven, every man, woman, and child on Earth. he knows every hair on your head, every motion of your body, every thought of your heart; he sees the deep things of the heart, and the sins in the conscience; neither is there any creature which he cannot see but all things are “naked and open to his eyes” Heb. iv. Set in a small town near the Gulf of Mexico, this novel is both social commentary on the lives of Black folk, as well as examination of the lives of five Black boys during the summer of 1954. The adult Black folk in Riverville are keenly aware of family histories which have developed under segregation, but which are inter-related to the white community. The diversity, resilience, and faults of these characters do not hinder their progress towards equality.

The question of where we come from and where we are going is one of the elementary challenges of life. Perhaps it is the question of life. Only when we get an answer to it do we learn who we are. So begins How the World Began, a book that asks themost fundamental of all questions: who are we? And what did God intend us to be? Despite - perhaps even because of - the immense technological advances of our time, and the frightful consequences for the human race of the misuse of that power, humanity is brought face-to-face time and again with the essential problem that has haunted us since the beginning of time: the mystery of good and evil. Helmut Thielicke's work in these sermons on the first eleven chapters of Genesis is thought-provokingand exceptionally powerful.

Nine months shy of hs 40th birthday, freelance music producer Tyler Harrison has started to experience horrific hallucinations. At first, he thinks it's just the stress of his job, but the hallucinations continue until they culminate at the three-day concert in Chicago, Lollapalloza, which he is covering for work. There he is approached by an older man who tells him that he's going to die on his fortieth birthday. The man claims to be an angel named Matthew, and even though he gives Tyler enough evidence to convince him he's telling the truth, he doesn't know what to do with the information. Tyler's underlying doubt and confusion about Matthew's prediction turn to anger, both at God and those around him. As he begins to exhibit destructive behavior, he befriends Ellis, an internationally known DJ. Tyler is scared that he really is about to die. He's scared for his sanity. He's scared that if he does die, he's not going to Heaven. He also soon becomes scared of Ellis, who is wild and opens up a door of temptation to Tyler. As Tyler begins falling in a downward spiral of fear and confusion, he reaches out to a pastor he met, Will, and tries to right his wrongs with some of the important people in his life in a desperate attempt to find peace before his 40th birthday.
