Ce guide, clair et pratique, permet d'inscrire un événement sportif dans le développement durable. Très pédagogique, il provoque une véritable prise de conscience pour toute personne, sportive ou non, désireuse d'adopter une attitude plus citoyenne. De nombreux thèmes sont abordés (protection de l'environnement, pratique des personnes handicapées, solidarité, commerce équitable, formation, lutte contre le dopage et la violence...). Des actions et organisations à mettre en place sont proposées. Un premier volet retrace l'histoire du développement durable et la manière dont le monde sportif a déjà pris en compte ce concept.
