Visitors Along My Cancer Journey

The reader will be drawn into the stories of 2 sisters who were both diagnosed with cancer. On their journey they are visited by the spirits of their ancestors. Thats how the writer learns how the emotional experiences of ancestors are still imprinted in our DNA, possibly leading to illness of the body, mind or emotions. The ancestors continue to teach and guide her to release these imprints transforming her condition back to health.

In February of 2009 the author heard five of the most terrifying words in the English language, "Mr. Metzler, you have cancer." Mike was given a 50/50 chance of surviving for five years, even with being treated with chemotherapy and radiation. That diagnosis started what would become two journeys in Cancer World, a physical and psychological place unwillingly inhabited by cancer patients, their caregivers, families, and friends. The first journey was that of a patient being successfully treated for Stage 4 head and neck cancer for nine months.
