This book is not about the holiday called Thanksgiving. It is not about how to celebrate Thanksgiving. This book is a challenge to you to cultivate a heart of thankfulness to God and to the people He has placed in your life 365 days of the year.Thankfulness is not about keeping tradition. It is a matter of the heart. It should be an everyday occurrence. It should be a habit; it should be a way of life. It may seem as though it is small or insignificant to you, but it means a lot to God and to others. In the year 2020, the coronavirus (COVID-19) hit the entire world. The global pandemic brought things to a standstill. Countries underwent lockdown, and fear crippled many for an anticipated second wave and the hope for vaccines. In this time of uncertainty, where everything seems to be going contrary, and wickedness abounding on the earth, praise is that which can provoke the hand of God. Most of the things happening in the world today are prophecies that must be fulfilled as this age ends. Our attitude should be one of praise and thanksgiving, knowing that God is in control and his hand is at work to fulfill all his purposes concerning the earth. All the promises of God find complete fulfillment in Jesus Christ. This is volume 1 of 365 days devotional journal of praise, thanksgiving, and assurance of the promises of God, covering January to March. Each day comes with a distinct verse on praise; easy to commit to memory and hidden in some are God’s promises. The scripture references are from the New King James Version (NKJV), unless otherwise stated. It is presented in such a way that everyone, from the least to the greatest can benefit. Each day also comes with a keyword Hebrew study from the passage, as we look through Genesis to part of the Psalms in Volume 1. Each page is organized into 6 sections: 1. Date: Which comes with the month & day (e.g., January 1), Week (from 1 to 13), and Day (from 1 to 90). This captures what disparate groups might prefer to go with and serves as a reminder to the reader the week or day of the entire year. 2. Scripture: The verse(s) for the day is shared here with the days’ keyword in bold letter. 3. Today’s Keyword: We look into the keyword; its Hebrew (for an old testament scripture) according to Strong’s concordance. 4. Prayer & Confession: This is the column to pray through the passage and make some declarations. 5. Food for Thought: Some thoughts on the passage are shared; something to think about throughout the day; questions and exercises to do. 6. Bible Reading Plan: An optional plan to read through the bible in a year. This book adopts the historical plan (i.e., reading the books as they were historically written, according to their estimated writing date). You can do so by reading or listening. Determine to become a student of the word. Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near… Revelation 1:3 As we walk with God, we have to be guided by the truths of His word. Volume 3 concludes the passages in the Old Testament. We look at the last portions of the Psalms to the book of Habakkuk. One thing stands out, ‘We are in constant warfare and praise is your weapon to win the battle.’ Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, And a two-edged sword in their hand, To execute vengeance on the nations, And punishments on the peoples; To bind their kings with chains, And their nobles with fetters of iron; To execute on them the written judgment — This honor have all His saints. Praise the Lord! Psalms 149:6-9 O Lord, our Lord, How excellent is Your name in all the earth, Who have set Your glory above the heavens! Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants You have ordained strength, Because of Your enemies, That You may silence the enemy and the avenger. Psalms 8:1-2 The Christian life is one of battle, whether or not we are aware of it. The devil doesn’t like the idea that you are a Christian and will do everything possible to fight against you. But thanks be to God, He has given us tools that aren’t physical weapons, but produces physical results, for we wage war not against flesh and blood, but spiritual forces in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12), and so the weapons we use in our battles aren’t the weapons of the world but God’s powerful weapons to pull down every stronghold (2 Corinthians 10:4). Some of our weapons are prayer, the word of God (Eph 6:17; Heb 4:12), and praise. Ephesians 6:13-18 encourages us on the need to be prepared for battle, being strong in the Lord and His mighty power, and putting on the full armor of God. In your mouth is strength. As you speak of the works of the Lord, you silence the enemy. Teach your Children to praise the Lord, to shame the devil. In the days of Nehemiah, the workers had both tools to build and swords for battle (Nehemiah 4:17-18). We must employ both tools (the word of God and praise) in our time. We need both for a successful walk in Christ. In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you… 1 Thessalonians 5:18

In this period of uncertainties, calamities, pain, fear, despair, we ought to give God thanks and always fall back on His love. He will show up in those situations when we give thanks; for we receive with thanksgiving. Let His love be the anchor for your soul; your confidence in His promises. If you have not experienced this love, I would like you to have a taste of it. It all starts with Jesus. He’s God’s love in action (John 3:16). Accept Him as your Lord and savior, and you are on your way to experiencing greater things. Each page is organized into 7 sections: 1. So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved. Acts 2:46-47 The early church had a culture of consistency. Their faith was a day-to-day reality, not a once-a-week church service. Despite difficulties, oppositions, challenges, persecutions, ridicules, they continued intensely serving the Lord, day after day in the teachings of the Apostles, in fellowship, in breaking bread, in prayers, and in praising the Lord. They were a unified church; doing the same thing and with much gladness. No wonder the Lord magnified and multiplied the church daily. A unified and consistent church magnifies and multiplies. Increase is a product of unified consistency. When the church is united in purpose, we will see tremendous growth. But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises (Greek: areté – virtue, excellencies) of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. 1 Peter 2:9 God saves, calls, and chooses us to show forth His excellencies. We are made to praise. Daily practice produces daily results. If we want to see God’s move, increase, growth, every day of our lives and in the church, then we have to daily study the Word, fellowship, pray, and praise.

Every married couple has their own meaningful talesand occasionally horror storiesof wedding preparation. Few couples, however, have that time as intricately and intimately documented as Alexander and Ahesha Catalano. 365 Days Until : The Journey to Our Wedding details the year-long journey to the Alexander and Ahesha Catalanos wedding day. Every night, for 365 days prior to their wedding, they recorded everything they did in preparation for the wedding. They chronicled all of the foolishness, the things they learned about each other, and the things they learned about marriage, each in their own journal. They considered everything from mundane details to what it would take for them to reach their golden anniversary. Most importantly, they wrote about all the fun they had coordinating their wedding and how much they truly adore one another.
