Susan Elaine Collins was raised in a Christian home, and God was the center of her life. She always believed that God had a plan for her and her family. She felt safe and secure in that knowledge. In 1997, her youngest son, William Dale, 19, was killed in a traffic accident. Shaken to the innermost part of her being, Susan writes in her book how his death affected her life and the lives of her family. This is the story of her pain and struggle during that difficult time. It is fiction or of non – fiction depending on what the writer is contemplating about. Poetry can make you glad, sad or even mad while reading its contents. A story written for enjoyment or to edify the reader in minutes, hours or perhaps a reference for one to look back on; time after time again, to rejuvenate oneself back into reality, as this book was written to do for the world; to be more self conscience about what is going on around them. Poetry can also be brought about in small phrases or of antidotes. This is seen in the follow – up book entitled “ LAUGH WITH A PHRASE OR TRUTH ”. It is unfortunate that most people are too busy in life to relax and enjoy that which is bestowed on all of us. Poetry can be used as a reminder of what to do or of what not to do depending on your outlook of life and of what you read. Remember that these are sermon outlines and you will need to fill them in with the message that God is giving you for your church, Bible study group, or home group. I am a pastor who has been baptized in the Holy Spirit, and so some of my sermon outlines point to the empowering and gifting that comes with this experience. If you belong to a denomination that does not teach the baptism of the Holy Spirit as an experience independent of salvation, you will still find many of these outlines to be useful as you preach about the basics concerning our Lord Jesus Christ.
