Betty Bee makes her home in sunny meadows of black-eyed susans and daisies—not too far from the clear blue pond and frogs with the lazies. Betty is filled with joy, love, and kindness and lots of gratitude. Betty has the perfect “Bee Attitude.” She considers this special Bee Attitude a gift from God above. She is ever mindful of those around her who need some extra love. Follow Betty Bee as she encourages those she meets along the way and how they too can have a “Bee Attitude” and then in turn share that with others. In this first book in a series of eight, Betty Bee encounters three little church mice—Mortimer, Millie, and Maude—who are poor in spirit. Read along to see what has caused this to happen and if Betty can help them get their spirit back! This is the first book in the Betty Bee’s Attitude series.

Covenant Retreat is a special place in the gorgeous mountains of Virginia. There is a very large old Plantation home in the middle of the retreat that has a wonderful balcony overlooking the entire property. A babbling river runs right through the middle of the land and empties into a sparkling pond. Rolling hills of flowers and open fields of hay are all surrounded by a forest of trees. Bentley Bennigan the beekeeper, lives in the big house and sits on his balcony watching over all his treasured creatures. Three red barns are placed around the retreat and the largest one sits on top of the highest hill with a special beehive of honey bees. There are twenty-six bees in this hive that were chosen by the beekeeper because of their great attitudes. Each bee has been given a name by the beekeeper to match his or her special attitude. The bees all work together to help each other and their friends out. These bees are very busy using their gifts to prosper their hive but also work hard to pollinate their beautiful surroundings. As the bees go through their days, they encounter other creatures who struggle with certain issues so they try to help them learn a better way to do things.

Your Bee-attitude starts with Bee-lieving. According to the laws of aerodynamics, bees should not be able to fly. Their wings are too small and their bodies are too fat to get off the ground. But they fly. If you are willing to bee-lieve that you can achieve and if you are willing to work hard, then you too can "fly." This is the Bee-attitude. Bea Grace Curri uses a clever list of alphabetical encouragement for young readers to develop a "you can do it" attitude. She tells remarkable stories of people who by all appearances "couldn't," and yet who "did" anyway...with great success. If you want your children to turn those stumbling blocks into stepping stones, Bee Attitude is for you and for them. It's bee-autiful. Bea Grace Curri has a wealth of experience working with children as a religious educator and youth minister for the Dioceses of Syracuse, New York, and Orlando, Florida. She has been married to her husband, John for thirty-eight years and has two sons and six grandchildren. Bea approaches life with enthusiasm.

• A close look at the intimate life of the Spanish royal family before, during and after the Civil War • Family letters show new light on the doomed affair between Bee and Grand Duke Michael of Russia, brother of Tsar Nicholas II • A revealing study of the relationship between Ena and King Alfonso XIII, which resulted in Bee being exiled to Switzerland • A dual biography of Queen Ena of Spain and her cousin, Infanta Beatrice (‘Bee’), by the late Ana de Sagrera with additional material from Doña Beatriz, granddaughter of the Infanta Princess Eugenia (Ena) of Battenberg and Princess Beatrice (Bee) of Saxe Coburg, granddaughters of Queen Victoria of England, married into the Spanish royal family. In 1906, Ena became the consort of King Alfonso XIII, who had been sovereign since his birth in 1886. Three years later, Bee married his cousin, Infante Don Alfonso. Ena’s marriage proved unhappy with the ill-health of her haemophiliac sons and her husband’s infidelities. The King abdicated in 1931 and they led separate lives in exile until he died in 1941. Bee and her husband Ali were more popular, although personal differences between them and the King resulted in their temporary exile for the first years of their marriage. They later returned to Spain, staying there for the rest of their lives. Bee died in 1966 and Ena three years later. This dual biography, written by Anna de Sagrera with additional material from Doña Beatriz, Bee’s granddaughter, looks in depth at the friendship of the mutually supportive cousins against the often-turbulent background of 20th century Spanish politics.
