Structures and Architecture – Bridging the Gap and Crossing Borders contains the lectures and papers presented at the Fourth International Conference on Structures and Architecture (ICSA2019) that was held in Lisbon, Portugal, in July 2019. It also contains a multimedia device with the full texts of the lectures presented at the conference, including the 5 keynote lectures, and almost 150 selected contributions. The contributions on creative and scientific aspects in the conception and construction of structures, on advanced technologies and on complex architectural and structural applications represent a fine blend of scientific, technical and practical novelties in both fields. The two-volume set LNCS 10587 + 10588 constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 16th International Semantic Web Conference, ISWC 2017, held in Vienna, Austria, in October 2017. ISWC 2017 is the premier international forum, for the Semantic Web / Linked Data Community. The total of 55 full and 21 short papers presented in this volume were carefully reviewed and selected from 300 submissions. They are organized according to the tracks that were held: Research Track; Resource Track; and In-Use Track.

This book presents new research studies dealing with the attempts made by the scientists and practitioners to address some key engineering issues in tunneling engineering, geotechnical engineering, and municipal sustainability issues that are becoming quite relevant in today's world. This book presents a design-driven investigation into smart materials developed by chemists, physicists, materials and chemical engineers, and applied by designers to consumer products, buildings, interfaces, or textiles.
