Christ Our Passover Has Been Sacrificed examines the paschal mystery as it is presented throughout the liturgical year in The Roman Missal. After offering an in-depth definition of the paschal mystery the author guides the reader through Lent, Holy Week, Easter, Pentecost, and more, mining the riches of paschal mystery spirituality. Biblical accounts interpret the death and resurrection of Jesus; liturgical texts in The Roman Missal present a rich seam of spiritual truth for the reader to apply to his or her life. By remembering Jesus’ death and resurrection, Roman Catholics celebrate daily dying and rising to new life. The author serves as a guide through paschal mystery spirituality, while also noting the mystical theology—reflections on experiences of God—represented by the prayers in The Roman Missal, particularly those dealing with Jesus’ suffering, death, resurrection, ascension, and gift of the Spirit. Through reflections and meditation questions, readers are invited to name their own personally transforming mystical experiences, which connect them to God in deep levels and move them outward into the community to share spirituality.

This book is written in line with apostolic orthodoxy of Scripture. It gives clear theological thought why only Jesus Christ qualifies as our Passover Lamb, showing how the sacrificial death of Christ negates the effect of the Fall of Adam and Eve. The book reviews the sacrifices of Old Testament patriarchs, priests, prophets and kings. It narrates in detail the origin and events of the Jewish Passover, which also foreshadows the New Testament Passover instituted by Christ. In this book you will understand clearly why other sacrifices by mankind are not enough for sin atonement. The book brings to light why believers should share in the elements of the covenant at the Holy Communion Table with reverence and hearts of gratitude to God for the finished work of Christ on the cross. Christ Our Passover Lamb is a must for anyone who wants to know more why grace and truth came by Jesus Christ, giving you an insight into the mystery of His sacrifice hidden in the mind of God before the world began. This book will certainly bless and inspire you to share in the marriage supper of the Lamb with other saints in His coming Kingdom.

Paul wrote to believers at the Corinthian church, "For Christ, our Passover Lamb, has been sacrificed." (1 Cor. 5:7). Through the death of Jesus Christ, the all-sufficient, final Passover sacrifice was made. He is our Passover Lamb. but what does that really mean? Jesus is the Lamb of God, but how is He our Passover Lamb? Isn't Passover for the Jews? Remember Me is a Bible study which focuses on and uncovers deep meaning in the Passover of the Bible - both the physical Passover of the Jews in Egypt and the traditional feast given by God and celebrated annually for centuries by the Jewish people. By studying the messages God gave through the first Passover, we come to comprehend more fully the amazing sacrifice given for us through the blood of our Passover Lamb, Jesus Christ. By learning about God's instructions to the Israelites concerning the everlasting ordinance of the Passover meal, we come to understand how it is a foreshadowing of our church ordinance, Communion. It is the same story; only now the final chapter has been completed. And God wants us to know and understand. And then he wants us to ensure that we do not forget. Let's be sure we are listening as God whispers in our ears, "Remember Me".

The subject of which day Christ died began to be hotly debated a few hundred years after His death. In the council of AD 325, the leaders of the Roman “Imperial Church” thought it to be in the best interest of the Church to disassociate their ritual celebration of the death and resurrection of Christ, which they now called “Easter,” away from the annual Jewish Passover event. They actually wanted to divert attention from the Jewishness of Jesus. In doing so, these “fathers” guided Christendom away from the biblical reality as expressed by Paul—“Christ our Passover was sacrificed for us” (1 Corinthians 5:7). This error has been locked into the celebration for over 1,600 years, not only by the Roman Catholics, but also by most of Protestantism. This is a fresh study which will have some surprises for most students of the subject, due to the controversy surrounding the chronology. It will re-align the death of Jesus Christ squarely upon the biblical setting of the Passover theme as presented in the gospels. Above all, it will demonstrate beyond any shadow of a doubt that the four gospels harmonize perfectly on the subject. It also establishes that Christ died precisely on the eve of Passover, when the lambs were being sacrificed in the Temple services. This Bible study will — Enrich our appreciation of the Divine arrangement in redemption. Demonstrate the flawless consistency of the biblical record. Correct Christendom’s traditional day celebrating Christ’s death. Strengthen the Christian’s new freedom in Christ.

This book seeks to demonstrate that those references to Christ are found in all of the Sciptures. On the glorious resurrection morning Mary went to seek for Jesus. She sought Him in the tomb, but He stood beside her. She thought He was the gardener, but the one word "Mary " revealed to her her Saviour. As we read some passage in the Old Testament how often our eyes are holden, and we see only the earthly form: we see Aaron the priest, or David the shepherd, or Solomon the king; but if, like Mary, we are really seeking the Lord Jesus, He manifests Himself to us through the outward type, and we turn in glad surprise, and, looking up, say, " Rabboni " (lit. my great One). As we continue to seek, we find Him in the least expected places of the Old Testament, until the whole grows luminous with the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. "In the volume of the book it is written of Me." All the lines of history and type, of Psalm and prophecy, converge towards one centre Jesus Christ, and to one supreme event. His death on the Cross for our salvation. And from that centre again all the lines of history in the book of Acts, of experience in the Epistles, and of prophecy in Revelation radiate out once more to testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world. After His resurrection our Lord not only "opened the Scriptures" to His disciples, but also "opened their under- standing that they might understand the Scriptures." He is ready to do the same for us. The same Holy Spirit who moved holy men of old to write the Scriptures, is close at hand to make the words life to our souls, by taking of the things of Christ and revealing them unto us. Of the books of the New Testament only a brief summary is here given, partly because they are so much more studied, partly because to treat of them at any adequate length would swell this book beyond the limits of a single volume, and still more because the chief aim of the present Studies is to show that Christ is the Key to the Old Testament Scriptures.
