Confronting Authority

Many companies and organisations have embarked upon change programmes as part of a quest for a common vision, identity and set of values. These programmes are frequently frustrated by company politics based upon less obvioius power structures within the company or organisation. This book examines the nature of this conflict and proposes a methodology to demonstrate how long term change can be successfully implemented.

This book examines the way in which professors must confront the social implications of racial neoliberalism. Drawing on autoethnographic research from the authors’ combined 100 years of teaching experience, it recognisesrecognizes the need for faculty to negotiate their own experiences with race, as well as those of their students. It focuses on the experiential nature of teaching, and thus supplementssupplementing the fields’ focus on pedagogy, and recognisesrecognizes that professors must in fact highlight, rather than downplay, the realities of racial inequalities of the past and present. Public authorities are an increasingly important form of government in the United States. What is a Love Feast? How did the early church celebrate the Love Feast? How might Christians today celebrate the Love Feast?
