Many of our youth are not Iiving the life they dreamed about when they were still in high school. Most of them are miserable and disappointed with how life has turned out for them. Most of them did everything they were told at school but they are still living an average life or a life full of depression and anxiety. Young people are frustrated with their lives and they release their frustrations with negative activities like drinking, irresponsible sex, drugs and so on. Dream chasers after high school was written by studying successful people and those who have failed in the game of life. The author took all the information he researched and organized it into a book. This book has change the mindsets and attitudes of students who have read it. It has inspired them and gave them a vision and a purpose for the future. This book teaches high school students how to set goals for life after high school. It will teach them to have a vision, self - Confidence, self-discipline, perseverance and persistence. This book will teach high school students how to use their own mind's so they can live fulfilling lives after high school and add value to the world.

There are millions of high school students in the world who write exams and tests every year. These exams and tests are supposed to get them ready for the real world. Most of them will pass these exams and tests but sadly most will fail in the practicals of real life. Most of them will be exposed to real life pressures which were not part of their curriculum at school, and when real life issues and problems show up in their lives, most of our students will not be able to handle the pressure, so most give up. Our students leave high school with high hopes but life punches them in the face and they realize that life is not just about grades or academics, it's also about mindset and attitude. Our world faces issues like unemployment, poverty, teen pregnancy, crime, depression etc. These problems can be fixed if we change the mindsets of our high school students before they leave high school, because they are the future of the world. After leaving high school young people get frustrated and they release their frustrations through negative activities. Let's teach our high school students things they can use after high school, even if they don't go to university, because only a small percentage of them will go. The vast majority won't go. Let's teach them: *To believe in themselves and in their goals.* Persistence.* To have a vision after high school.* How to hustle.* To never give up no matter how hard the situation.* Self discipline.* How to face their fears and. * How to use their imagination. How the immigration battle plays out in America, from curriculum disputes to federal raids to the civil rights activism of young “Dreamers.” Illegal immigration continues to roil American politics. The right-wing media stir up panic over “anchor babies,” job stealing, welfare dependence, bilingualism, al-Qaeda terrorists disguised as Latinos, even a conspiracy by Latinos to “retake” the Southwest. State and local governments have passed more than 300 laws that attempt to restrict undocumented immigrants' access to hospitals, schools, food stamps, and driver's licenses. Federal immigration authorities stage factory raids that result in arrests, deportations, and broken families—and leave owners scrambling to fill suddenly open jobs. The DREAM Act, which would grant permanent residency to high school graduates brought here as minors, is described as “amnesty.” And yet polls show that a majority of Americans support some kind of path to citizenship for those here illegally. What is going on? In this book, John Tirman shows how the resistance to immigration in America is more cultural than political. Although cloaked in language about jobs and secure borders, the cultural resistance to immigration expresses a fear that immigrants are changing the dominant white, Protestant, “real American” culture. Tirman describes the “raid mentality” of our response to immigration, which seeks violent solutions for a social phenomenon. He considers the culture clash over Chicano ethnic studies in Tucson, examines the consequences of an immigration raid in New Bedford, and explores the civil rights activism of young “Dreamers.” The current “round them up, deport them, militarize the border” approach, Tirman shows, solves nothing.

This book investigates domestic migration and migration intentions in China from the individual, city, and provincial levels. Since the 1990s, accompanying the rapid urbanization, an important feature of China’s social transition is its large-scale interregional migration, which has reshaped China’s economic geography and population distribution and greatly affected the socio-economic development. The floating population, migrants working and living in the destination cities without local hukou, have aroused wide public concern in the past decades. Based on China’s national population census data and China Migrants Dynamic Survey data, this book comprehensively employs statistical analysis, spatial analysis, network analysis, econometric and spatial econometric methods to analyze the spatial pattern and influencing mechanism of internal migration and migration intentions of floating population from different levels and different perspectives. The research results of this book have significant policy implications for the urban governance on the floating population. The novelty of this book is that it comprehensively investigates domestic migration and migration intentions from the individual, city and provincial levels, combining their spatial patterns and network structures. It not only provides a wealth of case studies for domestic migration research in China, but also broadens the research scope of spatial demography by employing new methods of spatial econometrics (such as MGWR and ESF). This book is suitable for undergraduates and graduates majoring in Human Geography, Regional Economics, Urban Planning and Urban Governance, as well as related researchers and practitioners.

This edited volume explores how success is conceptualized and represented in texts for young people in Asia. The essays in this collection examine how success for children relates to education, family, gender, race, class, community, and the nation. It answers the following questions: How is success for children represented in literature, cinema, and popular media? In what ways are these images grounded in the historical, political, and cultural contexts in which they are produced and consumed? How does childhood agency influence ideas about success in Asia? Highlighting the similarities and differences in how success is defined for children and young adults in Japan, South Korea, People’s Republic of China, Singapore, Taiwan, Indonesia, Vietnam, and India, this volume argues that success is an important keyword in the literary and cultural study of childhood in Asia.
