There are so many things in our daily lives to do that we often forget to do the most important thing each day

365 Day Prayer Devotional written every morning in real time from real life in a daily adventure of contemplative, centering prayer to start each day embraced by the love of the Father, centered in Jesus Christ, and filled with the Holy Spirit. "Good morning, Lord Jesus." For many years now, I've begun my morning prayer time with these first words on my heart. They've become my centering thought and my call to prayer, to start my day embraced by my Father, centered in Christ, and filled with the Holy Spirit. As soon as I speak out these words, my spirit seems to come to attention to sense the Presence of the Lord and listen for the leading of the Holy Spirit to guide me in my time of intimacy with God at the beginning of my day. Then each morning, after I greet the Lord, I wait and listen. In my prayers, you'll see a .."." after I greet the Lord and begin to wait in the silence of surrender before Him in the deep communion of prayer. Sometimes that .."." lasts a few moments and sometimes it lasts half an hour. But I try to watch and wait to follow His leading for the adventure of prayer He has for me each morning. As the old hymn written by Rev. Thomas Chisholm and based on Lamentations 3:22-23 so beautifully says, "Great is Thy faithfulness. Great is Thy faithfulness. Morning by morning, new mercies I see."
