Introduction To The Model National Energy Code For Buildings

DOE-2.1E is a public domain computer program for building energy analysis. This document specifies how each command and keyword in the program is to be treated in simulating the reference building and the proposed design, according to the rules laid out in the document entitled 'Specifications for calculation procedures for demonstrating compliance to the National Energy Code for buildings using whole building performance,' expected to be published by the National Research Council of Canada in 1997. Information is included on matrix terms, the rules matrix, input requirements, the input editor, error messages and warnings, and compliance run reporting requirements.
